It seems Chinese factories started churning out Trump's 2024 election campaign posters.

@BoraTas Sir what's your opinion will Trump do a Nixon and try to repair the relation or he will double down on China? My view by the time he enter office in 2025, the rise of China is inevitable (economically 90% size of the US and I'm being conservative), reaching parity in EUVL litho, IC ,aircraft engine and others. Sir he is a businessman and IF he won will only be for 1 term ,so he will be concern about his legacy. Therefore the rapprochement will happen and blame Brandon for the mess he created....lol

Nah, Biden isn't getting rid of the tariffs, and to be honest by now that's probably the correct decision. When the inflation was at 3% early last year if you got rid of the tariffs and end the trade war that might have had some effect on the inflation. Now it's 7% and not even China can save you. It's like the story 扁鹊见蔡桓公. When the sickness is at the skin level we can treat it with ointment, when the sickness is in the muscles we can treat it with acupuncture, when the sickness is in the organs we can still treat it with medicine. Once the sickness enters the bone marrow not even the best doctor can save you.
Biden has to wait until after the mid-term elections in November before making any significant moves on tariffs. The tariffs are coming off because Biden doesn't want his legacy to be continuation of Trump's trade war policies. Biden will continue the hard bans on 5G and semiconductors, but he doesn't believe tariffs work to bring jobs back home. In fact, the US trade deficit exponentially increased despite tariffs, so that is evidence he will cite to end the tariffs. This will also MASSIVELY help inflation and consumer confidence, which sets him up (or a successor) in 2024. It's all about timing at this point.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Chinese Premier Li Keqiang spoke over the phone earlier this week. I draw your attention to this part:
He also said that Germany has been and will always be committed to promoting the healthy development of EU-China relations, adding he hopes that the EU-China investment treaty can come into effect at an early date.
He deliberately said this, knowing this conversation will be recorded and published for all to see. So you can start to see why six members of the green party are under investigation for corruption - the money has spoken.
