I don't want the U.S. to go down that badly man because it won't serve the vast majority of people well who just want to live their lives the best they can.

A chaotic U.S. will be bad news for the world security because it'll be an opening for a nut job President to start a war for political and social cohesion and that is to no one's interest.
Imagine if the two countries can work together for the greater good..

“The contamination is … much greater than communities in Brazil or Kenya or India,” he said. He notes that in those countries, slum dwellings are often long-term homes for families and so there is an attempt to make the surroundings more livable. Homeless communities in San Francisco, however, are often kicked out from one part of town and forced to relocate to another. The result is extreme contamination, according to Riley.
another gem:
The city currently has about 2,000 temporary beds. Ronen, however, believes an additional 1,000 are needed, at a cost of about $25 million.
that is $25000 per temporary bed, which is almost enough for a market rate studio apartment in SF for 1 year. Are the beds made of gold?

The biggest competitor to South Korea shipbuilding industry is Chinese one; the biggest customers for South Korea LNG ships, a sector that SK currently dominates, are European, who take 50% of the market for such ships. This merger has significant implication for LNG ships.
I just don't grasp it, why can Europe have such a veto power over the merger plan between two solely Korean owned shipbuilding companies? Is it because of WTO or due to Europe is 50 percent of the South Korean LNG tanker market? Did the Europe or any other country manage such power over the merger plan of CSIC and CSSC in 2019?

Anyhow it sucks for KOR, and ofc beneficial to its main rival in the shipbuilding business :p

I was more like a bunch of people saying they have already surpassed China and catching up to American standards.

But a US in civil conflict is already a planing scenario at the pentagon

In case we needed any more evidence that economic inequality is tearing the United States apart, take note of the growing number of thefts from cargo trains, mostly packages being shipped by Amazon and other on-line retailers. The thieves take the merchandise and leave the shredded boxes strewn across the tracks as if a tornado hit. Right now the Los Angeles railyard is ground zero, a city where directly underneath the glimmering downtown skyscrapers thousands of people continue to live homeless in the streets.
