It is not sobering at all. His first half sounds "sober" until from this paragraph

No , this is not the time for war between Russia and that US vassal state. Russia has amassed troops "near" the Ukranian border to deter and prevent a Georgia 2008 scenario.

If the neocon/neolib US regime continues with its provocations and aggressions in eastern Europe (e.g. Ukraine), Russia will respond by beefing up its military posture.

That is pretty much it. No sane person wants this to escalate. But I do fear that Russia's strategic patience with the Neocon/Neolib US regime will run out soon.
