I have to admit, I find these recent US moves against Chinese companies to be strange and bizarre.
It is like those Kung Fu movies, or the cowboy movies, there is always a bar fight or big brawl. That is all this is. Uncle Samuel flipped over a table, now everyone is in a fight.
When was ZTE sanctioned over breaking its deal with the US Justice League? It was something like 2018, right?
I think the boss at Huawei said that when they saw that happen, they started to prepare for any eventualities in the supply chain for components for their products.
In a few days, it will be 2022 already. That means four years would have elapsed.
That is probably enough time to de-Americanize much of the Chinese company supply chain risks.
