I guess if he is ethnic Chinese and live in the west, you are bomabarded with anti-china propaganda in news/media and maybe in real life. Also, in many western sites, you will end up getting ban if you "fight" off the real trolls. So maybe he just has some steam to let out.
Agreed, the Chinese are not having a good time in Malay apartheid Malaysia.
China is unable to do what he wishes for China to help oversea Chinese living under racial discrimination.
Lets give Hendrik a break.

Well, the person we are talking about is an ethnic Chinese from Singapore I think.
Not likely from Singapore.
Singapore Chinese are not crying for China to help oversea Chinese.
On the other hand, Malaysian Chinese are living under the yoke of racial discrimination.

I feel his frustrations.

I'm a Malaysian Chinese and I disagree with these statements. Chinese in Malaysia might be racially discriminated, but we never lay the blame on our Ancestral Homeland. And we do not have the audacity to assume that our Chinese culture as the "original" unblemished one. We have the option of studying in a Chinese medium instructed school all the way from 7 till 18 years of age, but we do not consider it as anything superior to the mainland. If anything, the re-emergence of China only made these Chinese medium schools more popular among the ethnic Chinese and even many ethnic Malays to send their children to study.

Only Singaporeans that does not face racial discrimination, or doesn't being constantly reminded of their "foreign/Chinese" origin within their own country, but would feel vulnarable being surrounded in a sea of other South East Asian sinophobic cultures, would exhibit the impatience and bellicose to expect China to "teach" these sinophobic countries a lesson, even at the same time looking down at the mainland for being uncouth and not adhering to "original" Chinse culture.

And here's the venerable, super duper UNIFIED E.U. ON BEIJING WINTER OLYMPIC BOYCOTT: DISUNITY AND INCOHERRENCE.

Germany and Austria urge caution against 'politicizing' Games

BRUSSELS -- Several members of the European Union have distanced themselves from a U.S.-led diplomatic boycott of the Beijing Winter Olympics in February.

Top diplomats representing EU states disclosed their positions on the issue as they gathered Monday for the bloc's Foreign Affairs Council meeting.

"Politicizing sporting events like the Winter Olympics does not seem useful to me," Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg told reporters.

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock called China an "important partner" when it comes to climate change and other issues, indicating an unwillingness to unduly sour relations.

But the response from Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis reflected the tensions that have developed between his nation and China.

"I'm not going," Landsbergis said. ME: GOOD AND STAY IN LITHUANIA BECAUSE YOU WERE NEVER INVITED TO BEGIN WITH. :p

China has already said that they will sanction anyone boycotting the Olympics;, i note the Greens German foreign minister has to tippy toe around China like a good little vassal.

Also, the Anglo united states persisted in making China an enemy, so China will be an enemy as Lee Kwan Yew forewarned against.
Having China as an enemy now means China will champion UN law against your soldiers when they commit war crimes. In the name of justice, equality and human rights, amirite?!!

@Shaolian bro can relate 100%, what is good on our part is that Filipinos had its closure regarding their relationship with us the Hua Qiao. It happen due to influence of our OFW (Over Seas Filipino Workers) who had suffered discrimination , maltreatment and abuses abroad. So when they came home there is remorse and understanding had develop. Experience is the best teacher with millions of my Kababayan or fellow Filipino abroad they were able to gain some perspective about life.

I certainly did not bring up the idea that Malaysian Chinese laid blame on China for their predicament.
Malaysian Chinese culture certainly is not the "original" unblemished one,
Inconceivable that any Chinese would think so, or did you mix me up with another member.
It is not surprising that China with 1.4 billion have some who are uncouth.
Similarly in Singapore but on a much smaller magnitude.

I feel the frustration of many Malaysian Chinese who have to further their education overseas in Taiwan, Australia, etc, despite having excellent academic scores.
Many come and work in Singapore after being discriminated and deprived of employment opportunities in their own country.

Then there are also those who benefited by working against their own communities to receive favors from their Malay overlords like those from the Malaysian Chinese Association.

One comfort in Singapore is we can call up or visit a Government department or Public Institution and converse in Mandarin.

Yeah, we are a tiny city state apprehensive of neighbors who are envious of our level of development.

The Speak Mandarin Campaign was first launched in 1979 by then Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew.
It encourages Singaporean Chinese to embrace the use of Mandarin in their daily lives, and enjoy an appreciation for Chinese culture.

More US sanctions against Chinese companies (including DJI). They are on the investment blacklist now

The Biden administration will place eight Chinese companies including DJI, the world’s largest commercial drone manufacturer, on an investment blacklist for their alleged involvement in the surveillance of the Uyghur Muslim minority.
The US Treasury will put DJI and the other firms on its “Chinese military-industrial complex companies” blacklist on Thursday, according to two people briefed on the move. US investors are barred from taking financial stakes in the 60 Chinese groups already on the blacklist.

I hope when @Hendrik_2000 comes back from a self-imposed exile, he should take some time to read this interview from his fellow South East Asian residence, the visionary leader and the father of Singapore, Lee Kuan Yew.

LKY: "China's military buildup delivers a strong message to the United States that China is serious about Taiwan. However, the Chinese do not want to clash with anyone -- at least not for the next 15 to 20 years. The Chinese are confident that in 30 years their military will essentially match in sophistication the U.S. military. In the long term, they do not see themselves as disadvantaged in this fight."

What policies and actions should the United States avoid in dealing with the rise of China?

Do not treat China as an enemy. Otherwise it will develop a counter-strategy to demolish the United States in the Asia-Pacific. In fact, it is already discussing such a strategy. There will inevitably be a contest between the two countries for supremacy in the western Pacific, but it need not lead to conflict.

The baiting of China by American human rights groups ignores its different culture, values, and history, subordinating the strategic considerations of U.S.-China relations to an American domestic agenda. Such a haphazard approach risks turning China into a long-term adversary of the United States. More understanding of the cultural realities of China can make for a less confrontational relationship.

This is the fundamental choice that the United States has to make: to engage or to isolate China. You cannot have it both ways. You cannot say you will engage China on some issues and isolate her over others. You cannot mix your signals.

A warning to the American led western world:

China is an old civilization and will not easily change because of external pressure or sanctions. But changes will come when their leaders, thinkers, and intellectuals become convinced on their own that adopting certain attributes and features of other societies will benefit China.

Peace and security in the Asia-Pacific will turn on whether China emerges as a xenophobic, chauvinistic force, bitter and hostile to the West because it tried to slow down or abort its development, or whether it is educated and involved in the ways of the world -- more cosmopolitan, more internationalized and outward looking....

Your commentary on what the late LKY said about the U.S. not making China the enemy made me look for that interview he did and here's the article in full from the link:
