You take social media in China way too seriously, Majority of the source are bot accounts meant for profit “营销号/带节奏”, situation being reported are twisted for public outrage to get more views and traffic, ultimately for conversation into capital, from the anti black outrage to the so called privileged foreigners, they are either misrepresented by avoiding details or purely motivated by foreign power, and you have not yet list any direct source for your claim, what happened in where and when does it make you believe that the "CCP" sucks up to foreigners ? definitely not Congo, since by your logic then we shall invade America too it seems, lots of international students killed in US after all.

As for dorm arrangements, one doesn't need Chinese social media see the the difference. You just need to walk into any Chinese universities or talk to students that graduated from Chinese universities.

I have already provided news sources for Nanjing metro story. As for study buddy program, Shandong university has already publicly apologized for its absurd program.

针对近日网上关于山东大学举办中外学生“学伴”项目的评论,山东大学12日在官方微博回应称,由于审核把关不严,在相关报名表格中出现“结交外国异性友人”不当选项等问题,引发不良影响,深表歉意。

Shandong university apologizes for student study buddy program as the program sign up form contained words such as "befriending foreigners of opposite sex.

I am fully aware that some of the negative stories about foreigners' privileges on Chinese social media are exaggerations. But none of my examples were from so-called profiting seeking bot accounts 营销号/带节奏. They can all be backed up by legitimate news sources.

As for DR Congo situation, I haven't so far expressed any opinions about how PRC should react in this thread.

Not sure if you have read the article yourself regarding the Nanjing Metro incident that happened in 2019, In the end of that article authority clearly stated that it was an act of individual law enforcement officer not the general policy and will of the metro system, so your source does not add up

This whole university dorm thing has been around for years and yet every-time I mention this matter to my friends in college they always mention things are completely opposite of what your mentioned, so have it ever occurred to you that the matter is not as rumored ? just like the recent Ningbo murder case ?

And yes, your post regarding the guy posting a banner at nanijng with title "治不了洋人还治不了你" is obviously one sided narrative driving “带节奏”, all we know is the guy's weibo post, since when is a weibo post valid ?

Under US law, being held against your will is called unlawful imprisonment and kidnapping.

What do you think would happen to the workers if this situation happened in the US?
I don't think US police would order a mindless assault especially when the so-call hostage is known to be safe and moving about. Besides, withholding pays is against the law as well especially for compensation resulted from workplace injuries.

“我们已经不再相信他说的话。”已经离职的员工章明(化名)说。章明在2011年因维修机器发生工伤,左手中指被鉴定为十级残疾。他到这里只是为了索要工伤赔偿。“他已经至少欺骗我两次了。如果他走了,我们该怎么办?”章明气愤地说。与他一样等待工伤赔偿的员工,现场还有4人。
A worker lost a finger during work and he didn't even receive compensation for his injuries. The CEO had already lied twice and there were four other disabled workers who didn't receive their workplace injury compensation.

Under such mitigating circumstance, I would think even a US judge might advocate for leniency for exploited workers.

China wants to expand soft power and provide many scholarships to foreign students. Universities not only provide the best facilities for foreign students, also providing women (in the form of friend). And if female students do not agree, they can be punished and lower graduation points. China began to become paradise for foreign men. But that doesn't matter with the government. Soft power is a top priority now

Here's a Chinese company that did far worse in the US: closed factory without notice and without paying any compensation

The metro is ultimately responsible for training of its employees and the employees' actions reflect on the company. Also, shifting blames to front-line workers is a time-honored practice in China (临时工, 外包人员背黑锅).

I have cousins in mainland China who graduated from Chinese universities, they told me about the different dorm arrangements and sport facilities that are reserved for international students. Not to mention the numerous Chinese girls seen leaving international dorms late at nights. Personally, I have seen dorm buildings for international students, they do look more grandiose than buildings for local students. All of this corresponds with what I see on Chinese social media. Hence, I don't believe them all to be false.

And yes, your post regarding the guy posting a banner at nanijng with title "治不了洋人还治不了你" is obviously one sided narrative driving “带节奏”, all we know is the guy's weibo post, since when is a weibo post valid ?

Fine, this is the same flag story from sohu. Is sohu legitimate enough for you? Since sohu is a large company with deep pockets, I am sure Nanjing metro could sue sohu for reputation damage of posting fake news. Why didn't it?

Here is another one regarding museum of Gansu where foreigner could visit without making appointments, but Chinese citizens couldn't. It's from guancha, a Chinese media source that's considered to far from “带节奏” by Chinese netizens.

The university apologizes. The problem is that they don't repent and they will still do so if they have the opportunity. They are just a tool, used by the government. The government wants to expand soft power, and universities must find ways to complete it. Taking care of foreign students, providing the best facilities, but they think it is not enough, foreign male students need women. They went too far and were sentenced to condemned. If they do more discreetly, no one will care about. It is not the first case and will never be the last case. The government does not punish these universities, because the government is its top supporters.

Not only foreign students, many foreign teachers have flirted, charming, even rape, forcing Chinese girls to have sex with them. Those who have failed, lazy and could not have a good job in the West, quickly became a teacher in China just because they knew foreign languages. And most recently, a black teacher killed a Chinese student because she didn't accept his flirt.

On YouTube, there are several extreme Chinese anti-channels. Founded by foreign teachers. People who come to Chinese teach English, then flirt and marry a Chinese girl, and now he earns more income with Youtube channel - insulting - China

Your article itself also said there are exceptions within laws for faltering companies and unforeseen circumstances. There weren't any reporting about withholding pays or benefits to disabled workers injured during work hour. I don't see how this is worse than what the US company did in China.

Yes I consider them narrative driving until the other side of the story is being disclosed through public statement, not only Tencent and Sohu are not reliable, even CGTN and People's Daily can get things wrong too. before you busy chest humping at me, I do acknowledge some of your point according to my experience, some incompetent authorities do tend to shifting blames to front-line workers (almost in every country on earth)and thus why I agree on such exposure, as such news does have positive effect on bringing civilian supervision into the process. as the louder they cry the sooner it might get solved IF the case is indeed true, or proven to be false otherwise, but your idea of relating such negative news that's bound to happened in a nationalistic developing country (that's just been ride of heavy western influence) into a whole national matter is problematic and you rationality of presumption of guilt is ridiculous, because it closely resembles western MSM method
