Look at Elon Musk's insane ramblings about Hyperloop or mini tunnels for cars as an example of what someone with little industrial or scientific training thinks is real or can be real... and then realize that Elon Musk at least had a BA in physics and isn't ideologically brainwashed.

That is what decades long propaganda and conditioning gets you. They have started to believe their own lies and are now operating in a fantasy world. . There are many more Anglo-American, Indian, western channels and institutions that promote the same nonsense over and over again. I was particularly surprised by the Indian channels. They seem to bash China every way they can. Are these Indians not aware that the US would give them the same treatment if they stepped out-of-line ? Yet , they support US aggression against China. I am really disappointed by this. Where is Indian wisdom when it comes to China-India relations?

Many of us here have suspected the existence of Biden as President is a bit perfunctory in this administration and power actually rests in several cliques among the executive branch. Well we have another example here.

From what I've seen, the cliques are:
  • MIC clique, headed by Blinken, Jake Sullivan here is also part of this clique. They are China hawks, they are currently the dominate clique
  • economy clique, headed by Yellen, they are really worried about inflation and are China doves and want China to help them out economically. Katherine Tai here is part of this clique.
  • climate clique, headed by someone, maybe John Kerry, they are a small but vocal clique who think what they're doing is more important than everyone else, they are China doves and want to work with China on things like getting solar panels to China

I don't think so. First of all I don't think that the senile Biden is truly steering the Ship called The USA. Blinken is just a lieutenant or less, just a lackey with seat. Some call the Unseen force the Davos crowd at the WEF, perhaps due to its some form of public face. Personally I believe more in those "Generationally Wealthy Families" like the Rothschild family, Rockefeller family and so on -- The City of London, long before the Wall Street. So a bunch of think-tankers against the most elite and ruthlessly pragmatic Chinese political and bureacratic machine.

I foresee a bleak future for the US. They have still not realised what it means to have China as an enemy. The US should forget the old China because then it cared about US/Western opinion/relations, but now it doesn't car at all

The US can have all their new york times, Washington post, cnn crying articles they want but China has firmly resisted that
