US and China actually have an agreement not to use ractopamine in production of meat products destined for China unlike Taiwan.

I bet Beijing's solution to something like this is Missouri must have more exposure to Chinese. I know Chinese that seem to need acceptance from even racists. They think racists are just misinformed and mistaken and if they just got to know Chinese, they'll like them. No, racists are motivated by hating people who are different from them. You make people like these think you're bothering makes them think how much more superior they are to you because they wouldn't bother themselves to those they see as inferior and denying themselves from you is what they'll do more. They call these states the fly-over states for a reason. The people who live in these states don't like the idea they're not seen as important. That's why China shouldn't bother to do business with them when they can. Let the world pass them by which is the number one complaint today of the alt-right who live in red states is they're feeling left behind. The US is worried China will pass them by. They don't want Chinese living better than them.
Like I've been saying in this forum, the best revenge is to live well. How can anyone argue against that? But there are. It's like those that argue that there can only be a Chinese success if the West accepts it and has the final say like in this forum for those who think Chinese domestic airliners need approval from Western authorities. It doesn't matter if Chinese discover the cure to cancer but if the West questions it, then some brainwashed believe that's equivalent to failure. Some will spin the the goal is to find the auspicious way where everyone can live together in peace. And I'll say, no, because you only care about peaceful co-existence with the white people of the world. It's like Hong Kongers that cry freedom and democracy and use all the romanticized nonsense to achieve their goals yet when George Floyd was brutally killed and the issue of police brutality surfaced, those activists went out of their way to show the US they have no connection and wanted to distance themselves from it even though they were complaining about the same thing.

why should China fund Taiwanese independence? Every penny spent on Taiwan that does not increase mainland GDP even more than what was spent is a net loss and a net donation to Taiwanese independence and fascism.
Problem i see with allowing such hate mongering and hate speech to go unanswered is that it will and it has resulted in pogroms and hate attacks against Chinese and other Asians; racists aren't going to differentiate between who's who in the zoo when they're attacking someone.
What i would like to see is the equivalent of Israel's government and non government organisations that pressure foreign governments against hate attacks against Chinese, lobby and pressure governments to lay down the harshest punishments for attacks against Chinese and Asians and failing that, a Task Force Talon style SpecOps team to extradite and bring to justice, the likes of Cotton, Pompeo et al.

Sounds cynical and cold-hearted but it would actually serve China's national interests for such a thing to happen
Legions of well-educated and experienced Chinese scientists and engineers would immediately return back to China which would immediately rocket China's R&D efforts. Other Asian countries would also face the same influx of people returning back to their countries.
Also this would devastate the US innovation model of using immigrants, Asians especially, to do R&D.
In addition, it would help China push for a unified Asian response to the racist and despicable US actions. US influence in Asia would evaporate overnight.
Plus a lot of other benefits to China.

It's a bit interesting that Morrison is saying this at this time. Also today Australia officially recognised Sinovac vaccine.
Some theorises that Biden may be actually slowly working his way through the list of 26 demands that Sherman got in Tianjin (what some Chinese are now calling the Treaty of Tianjin) so that something can be worked out re China helping to keep inflation down. Morrison may have sensed this, coupled with release of Meng and though he better pump the breaks.
