Been thinking, is the whole reason Japan is suddenly barking out loud because India failed to do its job properly for the US? Normally Japan would just be making anti China statements on the sidelines and nothing significant would happen. It wouldn't go to this level of escalation. So now Japan is forced to sacrifice itself.

I get the feeling this is the repeat of the BIS 50% sanctions list back in September. The Americans desire to obtain leverage in trade negotiations, which Bessent is still talking about getting China to agree to a rare earth deal in late November on lifting all controls. The direct method didn’t work so they are now trying the indirect method. “We will get Japan to stop provoking you if you lift all export controls on rare earths” is probably what they are trying to do to avoid getting Chinese retaliation on themselves.

Japanese media interviews random Chinese people about recent events.
Chinese people:
"It's a good opportunity to revenge"
"She is crazy, I think we should sanction them"
"Of course I totally support government's objection, Japan does not realize the weight of its words"

The narrator:
"Chinese people can not openly express their opposition to their government."

Normally Japan would just be making anti China statements on the sidelines and nothing significant would happen. It wouldn't go to this level of escalation. The US does have a lot of investments in Japan so it would prefer not to let its large cash cow take damage first. Someone like India would be better. However as shown in May, India's performance failed to meet expectations and they dared talk back so this didn't sit well with US elites. So now Japan is forced to sacrifice itself. That probably is why they let a woman take charge since someone has to be the fall guy and no man there wants to take the blame.
There's no way this is the case. Japan picked fights with ASEAN and South Korea at the same time, and there's no way they'd do that if it was some sort of grander American plan. Also, you'd think that Trump would have given Japan some support instead of ghosting them.

No, it's all about Takaichi doing this on her own, and for the sake of internal politics. My suspicion is that she thought that she had to make a big splash once she got into power in order to build her own support base. Otherwise there would be no way for her to stay in power for very long.

You remember the scene in “Eyes Wide Shut” when Tom Cruise finds that weird orgy mansion with masks and creepy rituals? I always found that scene eye-rolling. But can we honestly argue that Epstein’s Pedophile Island isn’t just like that? It’s the deep state network depicted in “One Battle After Another” with sex instead of racism as the social glue. And it validates what has animated so much of the MAGA movement and the populist anger among progressives: the belief that the system is rigged. That regular people cannot get access to the byways of power or, eventually, money.

Funny, you’d expect her to be experienced enough to know that promises made by men like Trump pre-coitus are instantly invalidated and withdrawn if you have not cashed them in before giving them…satisfaction.

Struggle sessions in the 2030s against the Epstein List pedos will be absolutely wild.

Epstein Lister: I didn’t want to do it! But if I didn’t go through with it they’d absolutely get wrecked. Did you know that I am into milfs and couldn’t even get hard but they pumped me so full of blue pills and fentanyl that I did what they wanted anyway? I am as big of a victim as the underage girls!

It’s almost inevitable if you think about it logically.

Running a successful guerrilla war and toppling a sitting government takes entirely different skill sets and mind sets to running a country after you have taken over.

Your hardcore jihadists might be ok living in caves with only goats and AKs, but you can’t run cities like that or you might as well go straight back to your caves since you will have endless uprisings from deeply unhappy citizens.

The core reason America was so successful in the past at getting warlords and even former enemies to flip to their side was because of the strength of its economy. And I mean the real economy, not the bitcoin bubble propped up Ponzi scheme it is today.

Back during its prime, ordinary America middle class consumers had real and substantial disposable income, even minor wealth. Their demand and buying power was America’s true super weapon for flipping everyone to their side.

Today, the American middle class is an endangered species, with the majority of American households barely getting by, living paycheque to paycheque and lucky if they don’t need to fall back on food banks and food stamps.

The overall American economy is massively bigger, on paper, but that wealth is largely imaginary in the shape of ludicrously overvalued tokens (bitcoin and all the other trash coins), or hyper concentrated in the hands of a tiny number of ultra rich individuals. But the end result is the same, modern America just don’t have the household purchasing power to shower side flippers in wealth from just everyday trade. Instead, it needs to use taxpayer funds to buy people off, and it’s easy to see why it’s loosing the war for influence so overwhelmingly.
And the reason for constant American misjusdgement today is because they believe they still have this power.

If this is the plan, it seems too retarded even for Trump, et al. They know that China is strong and would welcome Japanese attempts to interfere in Taiwan. I'm sure the average citizen in China is basically saying, "please please please Japan. Resist. Please resist."

Meanwhile, I'm also sure the folks at Zhongnanhai are basically asking themselves, "...wait, they can't be that dumb, can they?"
