Imagine that in two thousand years (ca. 4017) the people of Arabia, instead of reading the Koran, have become readers of Harry Potter ... and some violent fanatics from Indonesia or some remote island in the Philippines arrive in Saudi Arabia saying: - Saudi Arabia is our ancestral homeland.

Everyone would see it for what it is: the bloody delirium of drunken literature fanatics.

I think people will still buy from shein and temu as long as the tarrif is still cheaper than scamazon or h n m. The problem will be on the us side trying to inspect and collect the tarrifs of billions of packages. At the moment a dropship product on amazon is 3-7x+ the cost of aliexpress.

I'm guessing Trump didn't really thought much about his tariff war policies, even less so than Trump 1.0. Maybe he felt federal government needed money fast and that was that. Too bad getting caught bluffing has consequences. Now let's just see if EU also calls his bluff or would they cock again.
