This shouldn't be surprising considering how much grifting this whole thing has become for not only the MIC, the financier class in general.

China needs to give AI to the world for free, not just in terms of open source and open weights but actual inferencing as well... chat app, web browser, api

Just my wild guess here.
1. This is the US deep state dismantling the US deep state. In other words, what we are witnessing is palace coup. Like what comrade SanWenYu is hinting at with that grizzly story. Hehe, nervous laugh. Hehe!
2. So the idea what certain ethnic groups are going camping, that will not happen. It is already a life and death struggle for deep state vs deep state who has the time to bother with that. Furthermore, making camping arrangements will leave one side exposed for attack by the other side, so best for deep state to fight deep state and battle it out. Controversial policies will not be attempted.
3. Hope comrade Chang is not discovered during this time of deep state turmoil. Let's all pray like they do in Texas that comrade Chang has his escape plans all in place. Allahu Akbar! Amen!

People laughed at how the epic Vivek Twitter rant that got him fired from DOGE was just a personal revenge of the nerds fantasy he had always wanted to get off his chest. Who knew that it wasn't just him offloading childhood trauma, he was in fact divulging the MO of DOGE.
Yeah, turns out Elon's DOGE team consist of a bunch of hormone driven college aged youngsters, all child prodigy coders, all probably with the same delusions of grandeur motivated by the same childhood trauma as Vivek. Here's one of them writing about his strong belief in an enlightened despot kind of government, only with a STEM CEO instead of a monarch.
They got their first taste of real power illegally barging in and accessing US treasury's information, while getting two security guards fired. And guess what? They'll only want more and thus do crazier shit down the line. Basically modern day Red Guards, with laptops.
I would say now even as someone who was somewhat opposed to the big tech crackdown a few years back that the policy today was 100% vindicated.
