I genuinely think that present state India has greater potential than present state America. 'It’s like comparing two failing students — India at least feels bad when it fails tests and America doesn’t feel bad till daddy finds out and spanks him.

I get your argument, but America is not failing. It has a GDP per capita higher than almost any other country except tiny tax havens. If this is "failing" then I'm scared to find out what succeeding looks like. India is different, because they never had success in the first place. Their panic is more geopolitical. For the longest time, I've read various copes from Indians that "India was just 15-20 years behind China" but they are now slowly realising this may in fact not be true.

IDK, the latest videos from serpentza seem strange, at least by the titles. I don't watch his videos so I don't know if they're click baits. Has he flipped after the funding from NED has dried up?

I actually watched the 2nd one, don't bother. The whole video is about how people should stop criticizing the US but instead offer up solutions. Ironically he offered zero solutions, I think because it means that he'd have to acknowledge that there are problems first.

Just on government devices, which I think is fair.

Speaking of India, the guy who started Ola Electric to take on Chinese EVs is now starting an AI firm too.

Let's see if his AI effort works better than his EV efforts. Kudos to him for hosting DeepSeek, but doesn't it defeat the purpose of "Indian AI"? A lot of Indians in the comments say that they don't want their DeepSeek data stored in China so I guess that's his TAM.

What does the median gdp per capita of American look like?

I mean, they're not a failed state like India, but it's also pretty clear why and how they're no2 with an open ended possibility to fall even further.

Succeeding might look like 30% drop in GDP per capta due to universal healthcare removing 30% of their healthcare derived GDP.
