But to release it as open source complete with all the papers on exactly how it was done is something else, it's basically this scene:
Basically they're saying "it's not about making money or controlling the narrative by controlling the most commonly used AI dataset, it's about making sure there's no place in the world for people like you".

Considering the U.S. declared an all of society war against China and has been consistently anti China since the 1800s, it was only logical that China would do everything it could to weaken the single biggest obstacle to the prosperity and safety of the Chinese people.
lol why are Indians always so anti-China about everything? If SV tech bros really monopolize this “world-changing” tech, what do you think happens to India?
because they’re wannabe white people and unironically call themselves “aryan” despite using their hands to wipe their asses and shake your hand.

Lmao leave it to the Brits to fuck up europe again. Neil Ferguson's trolling antics on WEF isn't new, I've watched a couple of WEF 2025 videos and it's always the Brits with the most deranged sinophobic views, way worse than the Americans.
He is explaining American view to a German not British. his use of the word 'Pathetic' means the other person is truly dense for not understanding common sense. imagine for a second Chinese troops comes to Ukraine after US spending hundreds of billions on Ukraine. Germany still think they are special despite repeatedly humiliated. that Merkel phone tapping. the rest person can research
There would be either Arab or Russian flag on land currently occupied by residents residing in Turkey if Turkey didnot have that intellectual property originated from Gulf Arabs. this the part beyond German understanding and the world around will change.

Someone told me this today.

India has the caste system. Indians abide by authority. The dream of Indians is joining that authority and stomping down on anyone below them.

Right now that authority are whites and Jews with Indians below them in their view. Chinese are outsiders seeking to overthrow that authority.

That's one big difference Chinese and Indians. Both tend to be controlled by centralized authorities but Chinese are able to overthrow the entire system by force. Indians would just find a way to join the new authority. China overthrew the Qing dynasty and the KMT by force while Indians let the Brits leave on their terms leading to the huge mess today.

Nah the real reason is all the bobs China stole through red note. If the Chinese actually practiced Xi’s principle of common prosperity and spread them around they wouldn’t be so bitter.

What I'm curious about is whether the owners of these 'Chinese assets' are the Chinese government or private investors from China.
I think there's a high probability it's the latter, as I find it hard to believe that the U.S. government would allow the Chinese government to purchase assets like American farmland.
If my guess is correct, then what is the purpose of such actions? The behavior of this Missouri Attorney General only harms those Chinese individuals who have a more favorable view of the U.S. and are willing to invest in America.

The purpose of these actions is to loot by seizing assets. You act as if they care what Chinese individuals think or as if there were some longer term plan and purpose when these people suggest unilateral asset seizure.

But these Indians are working as H1Bs in the US so they can at least work under direction.
They are decent linear workers under good supervision and can play office politics well. All of that does not really translate to research, I can only recall only one major Indian name in AI research straight-away - Anish Vaswani who was the first author of Transformer paper, so there are very good Indian researchers, but their number is very limited. Contrast that to the number of Chinese R&D researchers - you can find Chinese names in almost every major paper.

Palki covering the AI race between CN and US.. but i didnt watch it, from the comments they r saying the video use the usual anti china comment like "copying" stereotypes.

...
"Harrick Vin, CTO at Tata Consultancy Services, speaks to DW's Ben Fajzullin about the country’s dependence on Western-built artificial intelligence models and the challenges of creating homegrown systems. Ethical concerns, privacy regulations, and the difficulty of integrating AI into real-world applications are among the barriers India must overcome if it is to close the gap on China and the United States in this critical area of technology. "

....
What is holding back india in AI is the same thing that's holding back india in Olympics, national development, cleanliness hygiene, aircraft development, industrialization, poverty alleviation etc...casteism,endemic to-the-core corruption, laziness, fakeness, empty bragging, nepotism,Gee that was easy.BTW india you are NOTin this conversation.
