I don’t know if this is happening in Davos but some AI conference is happening somewhere and so far they’re talking about the AI race between the US and China but seem to be ignoring the DeepSeek news completely. It’s like their whole narrative has been ruined so they’re going to continue on as if it didn’t happen.

Is going to be on so many things going forwards I bet the Jai Hinds that pioneered that approach are kicking themselves for not copyrighting it.

That Tweet from Mr. Ryan Grim is just too funny.

Gonna quote it here so everyone will see it.

LOL!

This doesn’t seem to be getting enough attention. The Silicon Valley social contract forced on the public by Obama and then Trump and then Biden (minus Lina Khan) and now Trump was straight forward: We will let these bros become the richest people in human history and in exchange they will develop a tech industry that makes the U.S. dominant for a century.

They did the first part, then built monopolies to try to keep out competition rather than continue to innovate at a top level, and then got out-competed by Chinese companies in both AI and social media. They are the losers we always thought they were — and now so are we.

:D

Under no circumstance should the algorithm be sold or managed by Americans. They should also not allow global-non-US operations to be sold.

The failure to do take this very basic stand should result in treason charges for the TikTok leadership.
Yes, but if Chinese regulators approve such transaction can you really blame TikTok leadership then ? It is their job to enforce export control rules and safeguard Chinese national interests. If US successfully extorts TikTok from China, then it is Chinese leadership that deserves to be condemned.

Truthfully, I don't think AI is particularly 'hard' to do. The field is so new and the body of work is non-existent that anybody can just go in and pick it up. The lag at the start of the 'race' was more because few in compsci specialized in LLM so you needed to wait for more people to graduate or reskill. China is beating USA in LLM without trying, essentially. It is not devoting any significant state resources to LLM research.

Silicon Valley is trying a lot harder but they have literally no talent. I'm talking about maybe 20 people in ClosedAI actually know what they're doing. Everyone else are compsci code monkeys and just support staff or selling the hype. Sora team was two PhDs and 50 monkeys. Look at how few people on Twitter from OpenAI can understand DeepSeek, even when it's laid in front of them.

Right now it really is strongest Western brain trust vs weakest Chinese hobbyists.

This is the fundamental problem when your entire ruling class eschews hardcore science and maths subjects and instead prefers to coast through with wishywashy social sciences or legal degrees.

The west is loosing the AI race because their elites don’t know any better than to try and brute force it with more and more computational power. Basically the relying on infinite monkeys with typewriters to produce the complete works of Shakespeare joke. China wins without trying very hard because they went and did the math first and used mathematical models to guide and focus their efforts. It’s the difference between someone systematically digging up the whole earth to find minerals compared to someone using geology to limit their efforts to the areas most likely to contain what they are looking for.

If we apply the principle that whatever the americans accuse China of, they are actually guilty of it themselves, then we can see actually that americans cannot innovate; now thats not to say they never innovated because history shows they obviously did but the capitalist technocracy of the US evidently relys more on theft and bribery than true innovation. Why else does the Tailored Access Operations unit exist within the NSA? Or the story of Alstom of the theft of Japanese IP when it came to semiconductors. What the anglo americans want is for China to silently give the anglos all the answers to the test of civilisations so that they can tell all of humanity that only the religion of white supremacy will light the way - they assume that China is led by the sycophantic homosexual compradors who they promote in their companies.

case eg

anglo americans would have the world believe that Boston Dynamics is at the cutting edge of robotics yet that's obviously a lie.

Establishment media alex jones on Deepseek ie what the USG wants to relay to the masses; misinformation to keep the masses in line:

Lmao leave it to the Brits to fuck up europe again. Neil Ferguson's trolling antics on WEF isn't new, I've watched a couple of WEF 2025 videos and it's always the Brits with the most deranged sinophobic views, way worse than the Americans.
Theres a reason we call them the eternal anglo. Much like the Jews and Indians, you have to be careful with their slimey merchant like behavior.

lol why are Indians always so anti-China about everything? If SV tech bros really monopolize this “world-changing” tech, what do you think happens to India?

if they insist on this, China is going to expose the real truth of the CIA biovirus and US False Flag of the Century
What I'm curious about is whether the owners of these 'Chinese assets' are the Chinese government or private investors from China.
I think there's a high probability it's the latter, as I find it hard to believe that the U.S. government would allow the Chinese government to purchase assets like American farmland.
If my guess is correct, then what is the purpose of such actions? The behavior of this Missouri Attorney General only harms those Chinese individuals who have a more favorable view of the U.S. and are willing to invest in America.
