Don't worry about the Chinese diaspora, a substantial fraction aren't asleep, they just have their eyes closed. Something like 50% of Chinese Americans are anti China and I've seen this personally.

Wouldn’t it be ironic where the critics said China was giving the dumb version of TikTok to Americans and now you have all these TikTokers wanting to learn Mandarin and Chinese culture…?
It’s fun to see the notorious suspects running around like chickens with their heads cut off. It’s interesting how so many people are openly blaming “the Jews” for why TikTok is being banned. After Oct. 7th it really did seem like the stereotype that the Jews did control the media. That’s why it shouldn’t be surprising at what we’re seeing now. Look at these US politicians’ that banned TikTok backpedaling now. They saw the possible backlash of potential voters turning on them just like they saw Jewish money turning away from them by not being a lemming and they so easily openly wanted to deny free speech. How are the Jews going to react to this? Make the same mistakes when what’s happening now is so organic. They will be tempted to make it into a Chinese psy-op but that can make it worse for them because of the mere fact that no one saw this coming and people are so open in blaming them which was a no-no before to do.
It’s the same with China’s neighbors. They worked so hard to get out of China’s shadow. You know they’re upset because what they have to work for to get American attention was just handed to China without any effort. Look at these flirting Caucasian women going on in Red Note. The Chinese aren’t creating their own fiction there. Maybe the self-hating Chinese will be proud for once.

I remember when the conflict in Gaza started we were saying this is another major dumb move by Biden, to use US resources like military aid and political capital to give unconditional support to lunatics like Netanyahu at a time where US cannot afford to. The "using up political capital" part is the result we are seeing now. There were signs all along the way that this is going to cost the US like when Aaron Bushnell, model US soldier set himself on fire. You used up the trust of people when you defended Israel's genocide in Gaza so now when you ask people to trust the government when they say TikTok is a security threat people are just not going to buy it, particularly now that people perceive that the ban is itself related to Gaza.

Ok folks I'm going to have to set the record straight on this one. First off, the US is indeed the OPEC of plasma/blood products globally.
Secondly, American standards are fucked up in that regard - you're allowed to sell plasma 2x per week. WHO standards are that the maximum frequency is 1x per 2 weeks.
As per this report writes: Some of the fucked up practices include putting alcohol stores next to blood collection centers (you get drunk easier after your 'donation'), people putting on extra jackets to make the minimum weight or hitting higher weight brackets (for getting paid more), or setting up collection centers near the Mexican border - you can guess why.
Additionally, China has companies in similar business doing similar things: Shanghai Raas, China Resources Boya, Tiantan Biological Products
Conclusion: It's extremely bad in the US, but this isn't something that isn't happening in China either. And the fact of the matter is that many drugs cannot be manufactured without plasma donations - so its part of the cost of science/saving lives.
