Cleveland-Cliffs CEO attacks Japan as he reiterates interest in acquiring U.S. Steel​

  • Cleveland-Cliffs CEO Lourenco Goncalves said he had a plan to buy U.S. Steel after its sale to Japan’s Nippon Steel collapsed.
  • Goncalves went on a tirade against Japan during a press conference, calling the U.S. ally “evil.”
  • Japan’s Nippon Steel had sought to purchase U.S. Steel, but President Joe Biden blocked the deal earlier this month.

On Monday, Goncalves also went on to criticize Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba for his demand for further explanation on the motive behind Biden’s decision, adding that “Japan didn’t learn anything since 1945” ー in an apparent reference to World War II.

Speaking to reporters after a trilateral phone call with Biden and Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Monday, Ishiba revealed he had asked Biden to work to dispel existing concerns on both sides of the Pacific.

“I told the president, as I’m sure he’s aware, that there are strong concerns about the matter not just in Japan, but also among the business community in the United States,” Ishiba said.

“Wait seven more days and repeat the same demand to Donald J. Trump,” Goncalves said. “That would be a fun day in life for me.”

I don't even understand these American so-called "CONSERVATIVES" anymore. I thought Americans hated cult-of-personality dynamics, as they love to criticize General Secretary Xi, not to mention the supposed LOYALIST CADRE along with the RUBBER-STAMP Chinese politburo. Yet at the end of the day, they all secretly want to emulate Chinese efficiency in governance.

Americans are so arrogant that they can't seem to see they are slowly and surely becoming what they supposedly stand against.

I shared the moment when he lashed out at Japan again, pretty epic. Most of the Youtube responses from Japanese people were what you'd expect "Japan and US bffs", "Bad CEO", "Why u no luv us" etc., however some of them were quite interesting.

The last comment is pretty scary, some Japanese already think the US is planning to sell out Japan to China. Just imagine if China invites the US to 80th anniversary of the Chinese victory over Japan Parade :)
