It would’ve happened with or without TikTok/PRC. Imagine being told that everything is vibecession for three years while you barely scrape by with six fig salaries. That does things to people. At this point I think this is a pretty accurate representation of what most Americans think of boomers.

AfD won the regional election in Thuringia last year, but CDU, SPD and BSW joined forces to prevent AfD from governing. The fact complete opposites like CDU and BSW were willing to work together should tell you how determined everyone is to keep AfD from power.
Scenarios I listed are only theoretically possible but not plausible at all.

If this XHS refugee wave does happen this would result in something much worse than Tiktok dominating - this would cement the thought in people's head that China is the gold standard for social media globally. Instead of Yan'an being the red capital if you actually wipe out Yan'an you force the red army to scatter to every corner of the land and now you have even less of a chance to wipe them all out and before long 泥腿子 would spring up everywhere.
