I heard in war time Korean armed forces report directly to a US general, including during the recent martial law.

Wait til you see what Egypt did. They bought
220 F-16
54 Rafales
18 Mirage 2000
45 F-4
..all without BVR AAM (except the 50km AIM-7).
Despite this restriction, Egypt plans to procure additional F-15's.. again, without BVR. In fact, this was SOP of all Arabs until very recently when Qatar and KSA acquired the AIM-120C.

Both are true. But I thought Egypt isn't allowed to buy BVR missiles, and the point of the planes is more prestige than practical.

Trump’s minions are spreading talking points using China as an excuse why the US should take Canada, Greenland, and the Panama Canal. All they’re doing is just plain sucking up to Trump defending everything he says. Why don’t they claim China as US property. Trump has said the US built China like how the US built the Panama Canal. They’re not going to say it out loud but China is the greatest prize of all. Why? Because literally everything they complain about China is about what they don’t control in the world.

The Republicans know Trump stepped over the line when teasing about taking over other countries. It’s because China is taking over and they need to secure them for the freedom loving people of the world. But to say anything against means they admit they are in the wrong. So what do they do instead? Spin how it’s a good thing.

I have a feeling that the entire Korean war 2.0 UN/11+ countries led by the USA will attack China if TW reunification occurs BUT I hope China demonstrates the ability to smash their heads so,the likes of Can,UK, Turkiye,Greece ,thailand, australia, will think twice,no three times before entertaining the thought of attacking China ever again.
With nuclear weapons, that's already not going to happen.
From a moral standpoint they have nothing on Taiwan, but hey Ukraine can say the same about Russia for the Donbass too. On the actual ground, US has developed an advanced threat against Chinese territory, with its own insurgent army ready to spearhead a full scale US invasion. So US has a de facto beginning part scale invasion, and therefore can also surrender the threat/retreat by negotiation.

It's realpolitik and of course China wouldn't stop at just rolling back the US threat in Taiwan. It is just the first step.
That is not a threat that needs to be negotiated away. That is a threat that we need to use to fuel us to become stronger and to technologically defeat it, and then reverse the threat onto their doors. Negotiating it away means we didn't learn what we need to learn from beating it and that it can return anytime.

I've said this before; I do not want China to take Taiwan the moment we are sure we can. I think there is a real danger that after Taiwan is reunited, China will lose steam and vigor. To many, it will be mission accomplished and life can be spent relaxing and enjoying. Discipline can be lost, the critical discipline needed to churn out masses of STEM scientists who dedicate and even sacrifice their whole lives to pushing Chinese science forward. This will put us in a dangerous position of failing to overtake the West. I want us to retake Taiwan after we leave the West hopelessly behind so we can use that hatred, humiliation and anger as fuel to drive us forward relentlessly, so far ahead that our enemies have lost hope. By the time we reunite Taiwan, the West should so demoralized that they are no longer even putting in any valid efforts to challenge Chinese science so we can maintain our lead with cruising effort. Then we can take Taiwan, with basically no effort or struggle, and take it as a prize for crushing the West in the tech/econ wars.
Not in our direct control but we can mess up US a lot by starting a conflict somewhere else, making it impossible to annex Greenland.

I've never said it's not useless, which is exactly why it's an acceptable bargaining chip. It's not too high value to let US have it.
It's not our bargaining chip. We have no leverage over it. America's not actually going to invade Greenland; it's going to make offers with economic threats. If Greenland/Denmark buckles, they buckle. There's very little we can do if they buckle. We can offer financial support but bleeding money into a place that isn't willing to defend their own territorial integrity is a losing battle.

That said, I do NOT think Greenland is going to the US, not even close.

Moral standpoint doesn't matter. Ukraine has land connections with NATO, Taiwan has land-connection to nothing. All that matters is how much strength you have in hand. Ukraine has some strength due to Nato, Taiwan has zero.

Negotiation requires willingness, understanding of the current situation. Keeping Taiwan away from China is far too significant for the American Empire to simply negotiate away. So the only way they negotiate it away is only if China "convinces" them to do so. Peacefully of course..

Which is why US can't simply willingly negotiate it away

Why do you think it's impossible for the US to annex it? And why should China gift such a perfect opportunity to the US by making trouble somewhere else and thus drawing world's attention away from US imperialism?

No, China should not do anything other than making a huge tours all around the world and loudly portray the US as the next Nazi Germany looking to expand and conquer more countries. Let them all panic and fear for their lives.

The greatest victory is not only winning without fighting. Not only winning with just asking other people to do the hard work.

No, the greatest victory of all, is winning by other people begging you, coming closer to you, and competing between themselves on who will do the dirtiest work to please you, without you even telling them a word. That's the greatest victory, and that's the situation that all emperors and monarchs through history liked the most.

So for this reason, I wholeheartedly support Trump annexing Greenland, Panama and Canada or whatever other country he wants. I also really hope he increases threats and his bombastic, threatening and imperialist rhetoric

As far as I’m concerned, the war’s not over until compensation and vengeance is served for the opium wars and the centuries of persecution of Chinese. Only the induction of the territories of the five eyes into the PRC is a worthy prize, not dissimilar to the induction of northern China from the xiongnu. India must also be cleansed and converted to mass rice fields administered by AI drones and other areas of India converted to nature preserves to act as a greenhouse sink, not unlike the Amazon.

It is not unimaginable that EU or even UK start competing with Russia and ASEAN for China's favor to defend themselves. What is a small portion of Ukraine worth to them, compared to all of Europe and the Commonwealth? At that point even India will have known it is over.

There is no victory better than not only defeating the opponent but forcing them to recognize the foolishness of opposing you in the first place.

It is good to be the emperor.

On Wednesday, Fu Cong, China’s permanent representative to the United Nations, told a Security Council briefing that the country’s new government must “fulfil its counterterrorism obligations and to prevent any terrorist forces from using Syrian territory to threaten the security of other countries”.
He said: “No matter how the domestic situation in Syria develops, the bottom line of zero tolerance for terrorism cannot be changed.
Reuters reported last week that the new Syrian authorities have installed foreign fighters in the armed forces, including Abdulaziz Dawood Khudaberdi, the commander of the Turkestan Islamic Party (TIP) forces in Syria, who was appointed a brigadier-general.
Beijing has said the TIP, which was involved in the fight against Bashar al-Assad’s regime in Syria, is the same as the Islamist East Turkestan Islamic Movement, which is listed as a terrorist group by the UN.
