Not that I advocate for sending J-36 multirole stealth fighter to Greenland, but this seems a bit too Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. On reflecting on Trump's imperial ambitions I think we should reframe from drawing parallels. China legitimately have claim on Taiwan due to unsettled civil war, what claim does US have on Canada or Greenland or Panama Canal? What the War of 1812 is an unsettled matter and they are resuming hostility?

If I was Russian I would definitely draw parallels though re Crimea and Donbass and advocate for Trump to kick off a SVO.

Did the Danes really really believe that white supremacy meant they wouldn’t become a target?

see now, by allowing the perception of Muslim rape gangs to violate your women, cowards and bullies alike will come stealing your lands not unlike Iran being a coward and now facing even more harassment from Israel and the west. Compare this to China kicking the shot out of the west in Korea and how no Anglo American dares a land war in Asia.

"1. Western culture has an edge in creativity vs. Chinese"
I remember watchkng a w3stern docu(?) Abt "measuring of creativity" of young students from CN vs europe, if i remember correctly, they use drawing a method to see "creativity" like how many has different drawings for a certain scenario or things said by a teacher, and the study showed CN has more "creative" kids, ofc they just seem to assess this by different drawing of those kids, so not sure if the study was still continued or not...
I doubt westerners will create companies like Huawei, BYD, CATL, and DJI etc. Instead, they are setting up investment firms to manage finances for foreigners who invest in China.

FT's forecasts are still retarded. Like you said, a lot of companies stopped announcing their planned expansions.

The way FT lies in plain sight is by using the derivative. Notice it is a % change in capacity in wspm from one time period to the next. So even if their dataset was true (which it likely is not) their chart just states that China will be slowing down its fab construction versus the current construction rate. Not that China will be building less capacity than the others.

I don’t think she understood what the numbers meant. All she saw was a big number (365%) becoming a small number (86%) without the context. So what do the numbers mean based on their info (the data isn’t FT but SEMI/SIA)

365% from ~1.46 million (2012) to ~6.79 million (2022) or ~5.32 million increase.
86% from ~6.79 million (2022) to ~12.63 million (2032) or ~5.84 million increase.

In the context of the others, I could only find Americas 2024 & Korea/Japan 2023 data as a reference point from their site.

US: +203% for ~6.29 million increase (this isn’t accurate and it cost $5400 for their info)
ROC: +97% for ~4.96 million increase
Korea: +129% for ~6.32 million increase
Japan: +86% for ~3.96 million increase

China capacity is going to grow by about as much as everyone else but since it isn’t expanding at the same +365% rate to ~31.5 million by 2032. She is gloating that China wafer capacity isn’t growing ~25 million but a measly ~6 million like everyone else. What is she even boasting about.
