Dude is trying to prevent PLA takeover of Anchorage.
you should have just started with the premise that they are the bad guys lying to everyone else....
Look at this arrogant assumption that somehow Europeans, because who else are they talking about when they’re singling out the US and China as deciding for everyone else on AI, are the most ethical people in the world. You raped the world. You’re automatically disqualified. And because they ignore and don’t admit to that fact, they are not ethical. And there’s the deception of acting like the US is a rouge on ethics when including China. But they are vassals of the US in wanting to take over the world for their own benefit. The contradiction that they automatically believe “their” AI will be ethical and China’s will be not is because why? Their AI is a machine therefore cannot be biased. When it singles people out, it’s not prejudice. It’s thinking what’s best for everyone therefore you have do what it wants. Ironic. And those in history who wanted to exterminate the Jews didn’t say it was what’s best for the world? What dictator has ever admitted they were the bad guy? But they’ve all said to justify their control is it was for the good and best for everyone else? They don’t want to admit that because that’s an admission they can be the bad guy lying to everyone.
Predictable and for sure nothing too surprising
Dude is unironically predicting Chinese moves based on Fallout. Would not surprise me if his ‘solution’ is to line the coast with real life Liberty Primes.
To be fair China is constantly skirmishing with them to rule out even the slim possibility of escape using deep reforms. But yeah for the moment, China has not even begun to commit the bulk of its power directly in the fight. It's just picking off the US peripheries, taking out 2ndary independent targets like India etc.Predictable and for sure nothing too surprising
A rising empire is like a huge tide carrying all the boats.
An established and powerful empire is so strong that it can afford to let it's vassals run around with a deceptive appearance of "independence".
A declining empire claws back all these "freedoms" and starts integrating it's vassals into its rotten body to decelerate/arrest it's decline and to fight back against a rising challenger
The result is all the same, and actually even worse, because if you take a "healthy" vassal and stuff into your dying body, the only thing you achieve is that your vassal is also going to accelerate its own process of dying.
There is no light at the end of the tunnel for the US. Unless it performs extremely deep internal reforms, all this fluffing around will only accelerate it's decline.
China as usual, wins by doing nothing. The best position to be, just sit by the river and watch the fun
