The best thing for Korea is to keep market access to the US as long as possible, reunification before US cutting of South Korean market access is basically suicide for all South Korean industries. While that's under way China should Building up North Korea, which would be easy for China; they don't have many people, and already have basic infrastructure in place, all China has to do is give them some solar panels and some heavy machinery for them to be considered an industrial country. When US cuts South Korean market access in favor of protectionism reunification should happen since North Korea can absorb South Korean overproduction.
