notice the front gear was either stowed, missing or not deployed...
i assumed this was landing, maybe it was taking off?
Runway was 2.5 km long, there are gear-up landing procedures, 2.5 km is more than long enough to come to a stop per procedure
Video started well down the runway, if you're not on ground by then you'd have gone around already, which means it touched down at normal location on runway
There were no observable slow-down, which means engine was providing forward thrust the entire way.
I think what happened was:
- Pilots either forgot to lower landing gear, or landing gear showed lowered but didn't, in either case they unknowingly landed without gear
- Immediately following unexpected belly landing, pilots either triggered auto go-around or deployed thrust reverser, both would rev engine up to max
- If thrust reverser, then damage to thrust reverser from belly landing prevented reversal
- More likely it was in go-around mode, pilot held pitch up hoping it can get off ground again to the end, but obviously wasn't able to.
Proper procedure in this scenerio is cut power and nose down, but if you were caught off guard, especially for budget airlines, pilots might not react correctly and locked into go-around mindset
As bad as Boeing is in this case I think it's most likely pilot error, if it's the aircraft at most its land gear not down warning not working.
