Yes hence why not China talk? That’s how you shake down American confidence. The Chinese don’t need to lie. The “truth” is right there in their own media. So there’s nothing wrong in using it.
They do, Chinese companies say they have the best EVs, they don’t steal IP, they aren’t starting wars, but the general western population is either too stupid or too crazy.

Canada is a great example of talk-talk-talk. The Prime Minister’s Office just released a list of 300 guns to be banned (including the T97) talking about showing the commitment to safety, meanwhile a dozen jewellery stores were just robbed, none of them with T97s surely.

People here are still talking about Huawei stealing from Nortel, that’s 20 years ago, totally irrelevant at this point. We were barely doing 3G in the world let alone a poorer China then, and it’s 5G now.

Another example from the internet, China stole the IP for the Su-27 and Su-33 prototype! Another stupid bit of history. A plane like the J-16D doesn’t even exist in the Russian military. The Su-33 prototype was 30 years old, smartphones were more powerful than the computers used back then to do the design. Materials and manufacturing are all more advanced, EMALs was basically sci-fi, but Westerners sincerely believe that China would be lost without it.

If people are going to be so stupid and ignorant, no amount of talking will convince them. Basically like your Marine acquaintance.

Bond yields being low is good. It means the cost of borrowing is low. The lower the bond yield the better.

It is like saying someone is poor because they have low interest rates.

Governments with high credit have lower bond yields.

People with high credit have lower interest rates.

Governments with low credit have high bond yields.

People with low credit have high interest rates.

If high bond yields is good then high interest rates are good and Zimbabwe has a booming economy.
The funny thing is while trying to spin Chinese bonds becoming global safe haven as bad, they're also writing this about France

LONDON, Dec 2 (Reuters) - French borrowing costs rose above those of Greece on Monday for the first time, as Michel Barnier's government teetered on the brink of collapse, underlining a dramatic shift in how lenders view the creditworthiness of euro zone members.

When it comes to the Russian general assassination news, it does seem the FSB's counter intelligence capabilities are starting to waver a bit. Ukraine had been conducting espionage operations in Russia throughout the war, in the beginning mostly confined to sabotaging factories, but now they've been able to assassinate high profile Russians in the same way Israel managed to do so to Iran in the past few years, even before October 7th. One would've thought that Russia's internal security would be just as ironclad as China's (unless you really believe there's a secret CIA program to get unemployed incels to stab and runover people on the streets), but doesn't seem to be the case now.

Maybe it'll turn out to be a nothing burger. But if the FSB is letting this kind of stuff happen right now, one wonders how ripe Russia is for further infiltration and for the activities to potentially escalate from assassinations to formenting unrest.

"China is willing to work with India to promote the early return of bilateral relations to a stable and healthy development path, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Tuesday in response to a query about an upcoming China-India meeting on the boundary question."

"China firmly opposes unilateral sanctions that have no basis in international law or authorization by the UN Security Council. China deplores and firmly opposes the EU’s unjustified sanctions against Chinese companies. On the Ukraine crisis, China is committed to promoting talks for peace. China never provides weapons to the parties to the conflict and strictly controls the export of dual-use articles, and China’s scope and measures of export control over drones are the most stringent worldwide. The normal exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and Russian companies should not be disrupted or interfered with. Most countries, including European countries and the US, have continued to trade with Russia. We urge the EU to stop applying double standard, stop falsely accusing and shifting the blame to China, and stop undermining the lawful rights and interests of Chinese companies. China will do what is necessary to firmly defend the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of Chinese companies."

"Thousands of angry Volkswagen (VW) workers went on a four-hour-long warning strikes across Germany on Monday (December 9) and gathered at the carmaker’s Wolfsburg headquarters, demanding plans for wage cuts and plant closures be scrapped.

Unions have threatened strike action at an unprecedented scale from 2025 if an agreement is not reached this year.

More than 100,000 staff at nine plants across the country laid down tools last week in the largest strikes ever seen at the carmaker, protesting against management's stance that wages must be cut and capacity downsized for the VW brand to stay competitive."
