Intel cuts free coffee, braces for next layoff wave

Intel employees arriving at the company’s offices in Israel this morning were met with an unpleasant surprise: the once well-stocked kitchenettes, offering complimentary coffee, tea, and fruit as is typical in high-tech offices, were now empty. A single sign stood on the counter: “Fruit and beverage service update. Free coffee, tea, and fruit service will end on 27.10.2024.”

Lol! Double standards, Sinophobia, and more stupidity in local Malaysian politics.
There is a controversy and outrage over Chinese nationals waving their Chinese flags at a Chinese international Guan Gong festival. It was an event where people of various nationalities were invited. So why was there no outrage at all for the Vietnamese and Thai flags being waved around too? My only criticism about the organizers is that they immediately apologized and bowed down to the pressure from Malay Muslim bigots and extremists. What crime was committed? Nobody was hurt, there was no racism, no threats, no hate speech, no secessionism, and no glorification of violence.

These idiot Malay Muslim bigots were screaming that it was "treachery" to have people waving the flags of foreign countries on Malaysian soil. Oh yeah? So what about those people waving Palestinian flags to show solidarity with Palestine? People flying Palestine flags on their houses and vehicles don't even require permits. Lol! The double standards.

P.S. Without all that Chinese business, all of these idiot Malay racist bigots won't even have an economy to enjoy post 2009. Their grandfather racist-in-chief, Mahathir Mohammad tried to beg the Japanese to free Malaysia from China's economic power, but only got empty promises in the end. Without the Malaysian Chinese driving the economy, Malaysia's development level would be on par with Indonesia today. So China is here to stay, because there is nobody else to do serious business with. Even the nation's monarch had visited China for business opportunities. So petty politics should stay petty, anything more than that should carry serious consequences.

Although they are in the majority, they still have to use discriminatory policies to protect their ruling position, which only shows that they are losers.
Despite the existence of borders between countries, ethnic sentiment remains an undeniable factor. Recalling the tragedies that have occurred in Vietnam and Indonesia, the Chinese people will too difficult to tolerate new acts of genocide against Southeast Asian Chinese.
These garbage are essentially no different from Israelis, and they have a common language in bullying minority groups.

"German finance minister warns of retaliation if U.S. kicks off trade war

German Finance Minister Christian Lindner on Friday warned that if the U.S. kicked off a trade war with the European Union, there could be retaliation.
“Trade controversy sees never winners, only losers,” Lindner told CNBC’s Karen Tso on the sidelines of the International Monetary Fund’s annual meeting in Washington, D.C.
Trade is a key pillar of the German economy, and the U.S. is one of its most important trading partners."

Voltaire said that the Holy Roman Empire was "neither holy, nor Roman, nor an empire".
That's almost 1000 years after it was founded

US is founded as a christian democratic country by its founders emulating Romans.

US adopted laizze faire capitalism and twisted its Christian value to weird zionist abomination that is neither Judeo nor Christian. Their democracy descended to a oligarchy too extreme even by 1700s standard. Freedom of speech straight up replaced by new values like 'anti-hate speech'.

Catholics is the new coverted value that is not Roman origin. It would be as Roman as WEF is American. WEF is an European origin capitalism organisation. American sort of adopt its capitalism value half way like Romans adopted catholics. However, if US disintegrate today, WEF survives, I would hardly say "America lived on through WEF".

Or if you are tired of complex analogy, BYD battery factory survives in US. "Behold, US live on in a Chinese made factory!"
Civilisations change. But a simple change of religion doesn't have to mean a loss of culture. Like Buddhism was sinicised in China, Christianity, an anti imperial and pacifist religion of the poor, was turned into an imperialist religion by the Roman emperor and used for holy wars against the Persians.

If you want an example of a truly lost civilization, it's Egypt. Modern Egyptians are culturally Arab and have lost all connection with ancient Egyptian culture. But not all Muslim countries have become Arab and not all Christian countries have lost their roots. Roman culture lives on in architecture and art styles, language and institutions like law and political organisation like the Roman senate or even in sports, which have arenas following the roman tradition.

Of course Roman and European history in general is comparatively short, with only less than 3000 years of civilisation. But it's not necessary to claim it's not continuous, when it obviously is. Truly lost civilizations are Egypt, the Phoenicians, probably the Babylonians, the inka and Aztecs where descendants by blood still exist but they're fully assimilated into foreign cultures
