The India discussion is kinda funny tbh.

You are talking about Xi here who has an unparalleled strategic mind for who the enemy is and how to prepare to deal with it.

You think Xi has forgotten 2017, or even worse, 2020 India's backstab? You are overthinking way too much, if randoms in the internet here and in Weibo can think of these things why do you think the upper leadership, which has climbed through the ranks stepping on top of the political corpses of their opponents, hasn't thought about these? As I said, funny..

My advice for those worried about this deal: Keep calm and enjoy the ride

I'm just treating this border deal for photo op as China giving face to Russia, returning the favour so to speak for keeping the peace during the 2008 and 2022 Olympics.

Putin has a lot of cred with China from various geopolitical performances, certainly if its something he explicitly asks for and sees as necessary for our future shared strategy, then China would do as he wants.

I think until the US problem is contained, allowing India to conduct joint patrols in parts of the post 2020 regions is fine. The solution of not allowing direct meeting in troops is also smart, it removes the risk of Indians trying to create a scene.

Apparently Modi and Xi met together atleast 18 times in past 10 years (average 2 times per year).

They even informally meet during the Doklam tensions (2 times) and post-Galwan tensions (3 times), which shows that both sides want to keep things manageable.

So what I can tell is that both sides is managing the tensions quite well throughout Doklam and Galwan. These are quite frequent visits despite tensions. They now "agree to disagree" to avoid blowing up the relationship.

PKK attacks Turkish drone HQ in Ankara. Not sympathetic towards turkey at all, shouldn't have supported Uighur terrorism in China. Live by the sword, die by the sword.
On the other hand, this will help push Turkey more and more away from the U.S. camp so this is good in a sense. Still Turkey should have learnt by now that the west is a poor ally so work in progress, plus erdogan is a pussy so anything that hurts him is good

The guy pushed racist and classist policy when he was in charge, hope he lives a long life in prison.

Jennifer Sheahan, in Irvine, California, told Netflix she was fired after a visit from bosses at A&F headquarters, who said there were too many Asian staff at the store. She said: “They noticed a bunch of Asian people in the store. They said ‘You need more staff who look like this’ and pointed to a poster and it was a Caucasian model.”

its electoral endorsements for the 2024 election. And while the paper noted in its first line that it is “no exaggeration to say this may be the most consequential election in a generation,” that was the only mention of the presidential race in its endorsements.

The paper’s editorial board, which has endorsed Democratic candidates in every presidential race since it first endorsed then-Sen. Barack Obama in 2008, was preparing to do so once again this election.

But according to two people familiar with the situation, executive editor Terry Tang told editorial board staff earlier this month that the paper would not be endorsing a candidate in the presidential election this cycle, a decision that came from the paper’s owner Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, a doctor who made his fortune in the healthcare industry.

The paper did not explain its decision, though it noted at the bottom of its online endorsement page that “the editorial board endorses selectively, choosing the most consequential races in which to make recommendations.”

Chinese Interference confirmed :p
