I would argue that India is actually more akin to Mussolini's Fascist Italy in 1936 than Nazi Germany. Nazi Germany in 1936 had endured decades of hardship and bullying by the former Allied Powers of WWI, and had loss territories from the Former German Empire. Fascist Italy in 1936 was in a much better position, thanks to its former role as part of the Allies of WWI. It even retained sizable colonies in Africa by 1936.

While both Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy were racist and nasty, what differentiates them both is competence. In WW2, Nazi Germany was an industrial and military powerhouse. Able to defeat mainland Western Europe, and wage a nasty genocidal war with Eastern Europe and the Soviets. While Fascist Italy's story in WWII was mostly about following Nazi Germany's lead, humiliating defeats, and easy capitulation to the Allies. Fascist Italy invaded the British North African colonies and got their ass soundly whooped. It was so bad, that they had to beg for Germany to send in their Afrika Korps to help save their asses. When the Allies invaded Italy in 1943, the Fascist Italian government collapsed only weeks after that. Months after that, Italy surrendered and defected to the Allies. In order to prevent a complete Italian defection, Nazi Germany invaded and occupied Northern Italy, and took control of the remnants of the Fascist Italian military. Only then the Italian Front became locked in a stalemate until Nazi Germany finally fell.

So I would argue that Hindutva India today is more akin to a lousy version of Fascist Italy. While the Nazi Germany of today could possibly be Israel, ironically. The Israeli military is far more competent compared to that Supapowar military. Despite the IDF mostly fighting with poor Arab forces, I can bet that those same Arab forces could whoop the asses of Indian Army Jawans anytime. If India somehow dares to militarily intervene in the Middle East, it could easily become a humiliating experience. When the Israeli Airforce bombs its enemies, it can really hits where it hurts. The Indian Airforce likes to play pretend as the Israeli Airforce, its most recent bombing mission destroyed trees in a forest with guided bombs purchased from Israel. Israeli weaponry and combat training are in high demand. While Indian weaponry are less in demand than weapons from Pakistan or North Korea. So to me, India is not akin to a Nazi Germany of today, but a Fascist Italy.
