Jack Ma made his meeting like state to state meeting with both national flags on the table. If it was in the imperial time he would have been sliced into pieces alive as the punishment for 僭越.
Or Netanyahu sliced because he humiliated his country by doing state to state protocol meeting with a mere merchant?

Honestly kinda mind boggling what kind of powers Jack Ma had achieved. It's really a good thing he was reined in, I feel like we only saw the tip of the iceberg.
3, 2, 1, coup incoming...

So with a new government, Indonesia tariffed Chinese EVs, invited Australia military chips to sail in its waters, now bans Chinese apps. So much for being neutral. Why don't they ban amazon? Most of Amazon's stuff comes from China too.

Is the new president known to be this anti Chinese?
Actually its still Widodo at the helm. The new guy doesn't take over until later this month. Let see if he is more china friendly. He did mention he wants to look East more but we will have to wait for his actions

In case you haven’t noticed the current batch of Western politicians are pretty much entitled brats due to their selection process.
Yep, apparently Von Der Leyen wanted all the wolves in a particular forest shot because her favourite pony got mauled. Think on that the next time the West wants to tout democracy. The West are hereditary oligarchies and feudalism is the closest comparison except without the cool stuff like knights and frequent feast days.

If the Indonesia elites really want to play that game, there's still a lot of payback to be had for those pogroms and cultural genocide against Chinese, as recent as 1997.

It was as though the heavens could no longer tolerate the sins and debauchery of the anglo zionist ruling class that they sent a divine wind to vanquish the tools of genocide

He also went to Fort Benning in the US for military training like someone here said.

His claim to fame while he was active duty in the military was being sent as a "firefighter" against insurgents in East Timor and New Guinea. Where he organized death squads. He married Suharto's daughter. And then he was power hungry enough that some claim he tried to coup the government to get himself into power.

I think Indonesia still needs to learn to not put these military people in control of the government. I thought they had moved in the direction of civilian governments for good but then this guy gets elected.

Would he be like Marcos in PH? Isnt the son of current run as his Vice President? Like Duterte daughter in PH?

Well, he looks me to be as much of a US transplant as Marcos. I mean just like you said they even seem to have used the exact same playbook to get elected. Adding a family member of the previous leader in a secondary role.
But no, I think he is Suharto 2.0. I fully expect to see more military leaders put in charge of the economy, running it into the ground, and cronyism galore, just like in Suharto 1.0. I guess even that is still better than selling your country to Blackrock for peanuts like Ukraine is doing.

Yeah, their has to be some kind of divine intervention when their is two hurricanes back to back, one of which is striking a state through the centre and with greater force then the last hurricane and literally at a time when the USA has sent much of its money away to commit genocide. I can’t imagine a greater level of karma happening to these assholes, especially when Trumps Maralago is potentially up to get hit when he has made that bastard statement to nuke Iran, it’s like the heavens is telling him to STFU or else. Now if Yellow stone or the San Andreas fault goes off and then we will have the literal moment that the USA has truly fallen into irrelevance
