I would go even further by saying that electoral democracy is the cause of inter-communal (racial, ethnical, riligious, social class etc.) troubles because at its core, winner will try to maximize its gain for the short term at the expense of other groups because nobody knows what happens in the next term. Electoral democracy creates confrontation among people because it is a method of competetion instead of cooperation.
