The argument is that employees and shareholders can vote with their fleet by leaving the company or selling shares. That's not usually a practical option for most citizens of any given country.

The best performing form of government is benevolent dictatorship, until it isn't. Liberal democracy is generally accepted as the best compromise, with the biggest strength being the ability to remove non performing leaders / governments, in theory at least and we know how well (edit) well or not that works out in real life.

I would really like to know what systems the CPC has to prevent incompetent / malevolent people from gaining powerful positions and abuse their power. I'm sure there are checks and balances in place, but it would be nice to know more.

While China has been blessed with competent leaders for decades, that shouldn't be taken for granted.
I feel that folks get to hung up on "forms of government" or "system of government" but the truth is that there's no best performing form of government, there's no one system that's universally valid. From what we can see, liberal democracies don't work when a country is poor, full of uneducated or undereducated people, and haven't forged enough cohesion through shared values. Trying to slap liberal democracy on these types of societies is a fool's errand. Look at Afghanistan, Libya, Iraq, much of Africa, etc. Liberal democracy is a product of economic development and not a tool you use to develop. Like someone pointed out, it's a luxury many can't afford to have.

The most important thing is the quality of leadership, if the leadership is competent (prizes growth and development) and is not corrupt mixed with an authoritarian form then this enables a poor country to develop quickly. However, this form of authoritarianism won't work in a country that has developed a middle class, a highly educated population, and has created cohesion through shared values. China seems to be an exception to the rule but I would argue that while it doesn't have western style liberal democracy, it has established a unique meritocratic democracy that is focused on policy rather than politics. It seems to have wisely navigated a potential clash with its middle class by inviting it into the CPC and thus carrying them along in the decision making process. China is democratic through policy rather than politics. I think this approach should be studied in the developing world.

Maintaining state cohesion is the key to survival. There is nothing greater. Governments that cannot do so are doomed to failure. Most "democracies" are oligarchies ruled by gray bureaucrats who ruthlessly exploit the population with no accountability which is why things always seem to get worse with nobody responsible.

It is just a less accountable version of a military dictatorship.

Why did you even mention Libya? It doesn't lack civil society or education, and it wasn't poor. It's civil society and education system was destroyed, big difference. It went from 15k GDP per capita to 5k GDP per capita.

Another storm? Category 5? Let us once again apply the anglo propagandist's sanctimony: Truly, the american people have sinned mightily against the Lord for the Lord Their God has sent forth another deluge to wash away the sins of the pizza gate, baby eating, sinners of the United States. You, American people!! You must rise up!! Overthrow the government, for freedom!! It is written!!

On a serious notes, Tiktokers have reports that militia groups are forming in the Appalachias to secure supplies away from FEMA.
These events reveal the contrast of the propaganda that the geography of the USA is perfect.

Northeast - suffers from snowstorms/blizzards and frost
Midwest - suffers from tornadoes
South - suffers from hurricanes
West - suffers from earthquakes and large fires

Natural disasters that can interrupt economic activity even temporarily.

This is because the geography of the USA is perfect even with such natural occurrences, imagine if the geography of the USA was bad.

TLDR: New Zealand just lost a 5,000 Ton auxiliary ship. The ship ran aground, caught fire then sank.
In 2012, Commander Gray and her wife Sharon moved to New Zealand
She took the helm of the Manawanui in December 2022. It was her first ship command.

The captain of HMNZS had no prior command experience but she still got the position. DEI is destroying western navies.
