how did he mock the chinese?
Watch his videos and then tell me how.
I never even heard of this Uncle Roger until China banned him. I assumed he did it on purpose for the notoriety.
Uncle Roger was a character that was created by the comedian Nigel Ng during the Covid lockdowns. He was quite popular among the British at first because of his comedic "critique" of the BBC's Hersha Patel's cook show about cooking the Chinese egg fried rice. It went viral and then attracted the attention of British celebrity chefs like Gordon Ramsay. Then his career took off from there.
This was the video that unofficially started his feud with China. And yes, I believe he really did it on purpose. He must be thinking that the Anglos can mock their politicians, so he should be able to mock the CPC.
He posted his stuff on bili-bili for awhile. As you can see, his jokes about mainland China was heavily loaded with anti-CPC politics. This dude plays a Western stereotype character of a "Chinese dude" and repeats all the anti-China stuff that the West had created. So he is definitely begging to be banned by the Chinese government.
Because he was from Malaysia. Nigel Ng has become a real celebrity there along with Singapore. Too many people there were happy to unthinkingly take his brand of humour. Thanks in no small part to Anglo-worshipping. He also had some collaborations with some Malaysian celebrity chefs. And now he had even started his own Fried Rice restaurant chain in Malaysia.
I don't like Uncle Roger, but I think I'm gonna check out his restaurant some day for fun. To see how his fried rice compares to the real Chinese fried rice.
