Chinese old webbing

Hi all

This is my first post on this forum. I am a big fan of old school Chinese webbing.

And in regards to this I have two questions:

1) Does anybody know what kind of vest is this (see picture 1)? If yes, could you please provide some more info or pictures? All I know is that it is a chinese production.

2) Where can I get old chinese surplus/webbing for cheap money? For example like picture 1 or 2.
Are there any chinese military surplus webshops?

Questions regarding US Navy

Is the combined displacement of US Navy ships during the decade right after World War 2 higher than the combined displacement today? Today's supercarriers are much bigger than carriers and battleships back then, but back in the old days the number of ships is much higher. Today there is about 12 large carriers. If I'm not mistaken, back then there were more than 30 carriers and more than 10 battleships, although the battleships were in reserve rather than in active service after the war ended.

I heard some people say that US Navy during the 80's has the highest displacement in history. Which makes sense because of the Cold War. During the 80's there were several classes of carriers in service: Midway-class, Forrestal-class, Enterprise-class, Kitty Hawk-class, J.F.K-class, and Nimitz-class. In addition, there were huge number of other large surface combatants in active service such as Spruance-class destroyers and Virginia-class cruisers.

Probaly..The USN was much larger in number of ships. So it stands to reason there was more tonnage. Also the number of personell was much larger. More than double the strenght of today.

The USN today has 279 combatant ships. Plus 110 auxillary ships operated by civillians and some USN personell in the Military Sealift Command.

Military Sealift Command
The Military Sealift Command operates more than 110 ships around the world. These ships carry the designation "USNS" (United States Naval Ships) and are not commissioned ships. Also, they are crewed by civilians. Some MSC ships have small military departments assigned to carry out specialized military functions such as communications and supply operations. MSC ships carry the prefix "T" before their normal hull numbers.

Terminology question

In terms of military organization, does 集團軍 translate as 'Group Army' or 'Army Group'? Have a bit of a dispute on this regarding National Revolutionary Army field Formations.

Off hand it looks like Group Army, and I think the second character sort of looks like tuan, and that would make it Group Army.

How capable are the airdefences for the Chinese Naval ships

For the newer type 054/054A, 051C, 052C feature VLS airdefence system, How capable are they if face enemy squandron of Su-27, or Su30 or F18. What are their survival chances.

what about the older type 053, Sovs, 052B? how about their chances?
