Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 is Missing

I wonder if China is contributing to the expenses of the search or helping out in other ways at this juncture.
I understand that three ships are making the map of the sea bottom, two hired by Australia from the Dutch Fugro company, one a PLAN research vessel.

I was watching CNN last talking about the 6-month anniversary. Their report mentioned how the pings the Chinese detected led to nowhere but made no mention of the pings detected by the Australians where a lot of attention was given. I don't even think they spent much time checking out the pings the Chinese detected. It was pretty much rejected from the start.

Someone interviewed said that it's even more a mystery that no evidence at all has washed onshore anywhere and found for a plane that crashed into the water. Yeah unless it crashed on land.

That's the most likely scenario for MH370, but the lack of debris washing on shore somewhere fuel conspiracy theories.

true, but usually only among the "weak minded", the most logical and reasonable answer is usually the truth 96.9% percent of the time. Ole Davy has a very large locker, it does a body good to realize that compared to this beautiful creation, all of our wisdom and knowledge is but a pittance. So sorry to the families of the lost, but we must trust a graceful and merciful God and His wisdom at a time like this, while evil men take the lives of the innocent, our gracious God offers comfort and peace, knowing that He will one day exact judgement on the wicked, and comfort the broken hearted.

Yeah, Occam would agree with Davey Jones' locker.

Maybe some wormhole opened and suck the plane into outer space!

Seriously, it makes no sense at all for the MH370 to divert its course to so far if the plane was not hijacked. I really doubt that they are not searching the correct place.

The Saker publishes references for downloading a Malaysian Flight MH17 crash analysis by The Russian Union of Engineers, in Russian and in an English translation.

NOTE: I'm today too stupid to find the MH17 thread. Can someone move this to the right place?

One of the top people in Fugro, the company hired by Australia to search for MH370, has said on my favorite radio station that the first part of the search is nearly ready - getting a model of the ocean floor to be able to pull a sonar sonde at an altitude of 150 m over the bottom without inadvertantly hitting some hill or mountain. There are mountains thousands of meters high. It is a very rough terrain. Next week they are starting to do the real work, pulling the apparatus over the bottom to get a detailed picture of bottom strips 200 meters wide and hoping to find one engine.

Far from being rejected as you suggest HMS Echo was sent to the area where the Chinese vessel Haixun 01 detected the 'pings' and came up empty handed.
