This last weekend I had a long conversation with my cousin that works in the ministry of defense. He basically outlined the functional strength of the Argentine Air Force. Don’t worry, it not a release of state secrets, since all the other neighboring militaries already now this. The ones that don’t are the Argentine Public that permitted the deterioration of the military service during the 12 years of Kirchner administration. During the Falklands/Malvinas war the Air Force lost 70 aircraft of all types. During the Kirchner administration 100 aircraft of all type were lost due to lack of maintenance, include all the combat jets and 10 C-130’s.

A-4AR; 4 operational (3 A-4AR and 1 OA-4AR) An additional 10 can be restored to service and the remaining 14 have been cannibalized.

It's not saving money and it's costing years.
And -A and -C are compromised by a structure that also has to serve -B.
bunk. In terms of time and money both are on par for high technology level fighters. Price point is on par with Eurofighter and dropping and build time has already passed over 400 units. Far more that the J20 or T50 combined.
As to the structure in fact the other way around. F35B has had weight issues early on because of sharing components structures. The A has been the easiest because it's operating off a conventional runway. The C issues are mostly the tail hook and wings.
So no.

In any event those are another topic.
Although MIG may wish to build an F35 class fighter they have one major roadblock. They need money. The Russian government is locked on investment for PAKFa and Other programs they seem uninterested in another new fighter. The PRC has 2 fifth generation fighters on the books so no help there. All the other perspective buyers are either locked on existing products or on the sanction list and even then no one can pay the price tag of development and justify a couple dozen machines.
Basically it's not a low cost fighter program unless Putin bank roles it.

Before you ask the Company is real however they have a dubious reputation and no know production. They have a product offering for the USAF T-X.
Stavatti Enters Javelin into USAF T-X Competition[
Stavatti Aerospace is entering the Javelin into the USAF Advanced Pilot Training Program (T-X) competition.

The Stavatti Javelin is a new twin-engine, two-seat, high performance military jet trainer and Very Light Fighter (VLF) aircraft. Derived from the ATG Javelin Mk-30, the Javelin will be a candidate for the USAF T-X trainer requirement, as well as a trainer and VLF that can be sold to allied air forces worldwide.

The Javelin project began in 1998 with the formation of Aviation Technology Group (ATG) in Englewood, Colorado. Intended as a two-seat civil jet sportplane, the original ATG-1 Javelin mockup was unveiled and displayed at the NBAA convention in 2002. With orders for 151 aircraft by 2003, in 2004 ATG announced a partnership with Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI) to develop and produce a family of two seat military jet trainers designated the Javelin Mk-20 and Mk-30. The prototype Javelin had its maiden flight on 30 September 2005. In December 2007 ATG ceased business operations after failing to raise additional development capital, ultimately declaring bankruptcy in 2008.

On 14 November 2016 Stavatti Aerospace Ltd was granted an Exclusive License to re-imagine, develop, prototype, certify, manufacture, sell, and support the Javelin as an Advanced Jet Trainer (AJT) and VLF from the present owner of the Javelin project’s intellectual property and physical assets.

Upon execution of the licensing agreement, Stavatti immediately began redesigning the Mk-30 Javelin configuration to directly address the current USAF T-X RFP requirements as issued on 31 December 2016. The Stavatti Javelin maintains many exterior characteristics of the original Javelin design but benefits from structural improvements to increase maximum load factor to 9-Gs, more powerful engines, greater internal fuel capacity, increased maximum external warload, higher maximum takeoff weight, a cockpit designed for the T-X mission that satisfies JPATs flight crew accommodation cases 1-8, and a maximum level speed of Mach 1.36. The result is a very affordable, next generation supersonic trainer.

Stavatti is now building the Javelin Industry Team and may partner with a larger prime contractor to expand the Javelin program’s ability to provide comprehensive manufacturing, training, and contractor logistical support to satisfy T-X requirements.

Stavatti will be releasing technical information regarding the reimagined Javelin beginning March 1st followed by a formal response to the USAF T-X RFP on March 30th.

If they are to be believed they could be the next Textron Scorpion, or F5 Freedom Fighter. but like AVX they are a paper airplane company today. Vaporware no product to speak of Their claim is Bold of production in the LIRP in 2022-2023. Still who knows maybe they will actually get some money and live up to there promises Still It fits the Cost and Performance wants of this thread and is about as "Realistic" as the Mig offering.

So no.
The structure of each variant was chosen with an eye on the two other variants. Especially the -B variant causes extra weight and complications in the two others for which one pays for the whole time of their use.

I have been watching the Stavatti website for years with a certain amount of humorous curiosity. In my opinion he is sincere, but a fantasist - they produce a lot of web content but little aircraft engineering. Our e-mail conversation ended when I asked for some technical details on the light sport aircraft they say they are developing now. I did not get any response after that request.

My opinion is that he just has no filter between his conceptual design and his website and compulsively externalizes all of his ideas - good and bad - so you end up with the Stavatti website.

This aircraft has the potential to be the next F-5E given some teeth and good radar.

The size and weight of all versions was based on the Internal bomb bays and single engine not the Vertical lift system.
The specification is a thick book, when printed out. But trying to combine so very different aircraft in a single form entails unnecessary compromises that make all versions heavier and more expensive.
