They've clearly done enough.
The reality is that China does have to focus on the Western Pacific first, and that India is a secondary consideration.
There's no point in denying this reality.
Looks like PLA has gone further into Depsang and making moves to cut off DBO road. Since Modi's more or less officially surrendered, may as well push further and settle even more disputed parts, especially on the Bhutan and Nepal side. Bhutan has made moves too now, cutting off irrigation to thousands of Indians farmers. India says the "world" is behind them and against China but most of the world prefers China and certainly cooperation and business with China over India. Even politically, there are only a few nations against China even if they wield a lot of influence. With Bhutan and Bangladesh in either neutral position or anti-India/ pro-China, India's gone. Every single neighbour working against it or refusing to cooperate with it.
Xi should seize the day and hammer it down firmly. The US will not risk anything and seems to prefer the company of China rather than India. The whole "Washington hopes to see conflict between China and India" is beginning to become exposed as a farce. It is indifferent. At least under Trump it is indifferent. No doubt he will capitalise on any violently obvious Chinese gains which is exactly why the CCP is hush hush about everything. Even Modi is helping Xi with denying dramas happening despite the already obvious.
CCP should continue to capitalise on Modi and BJP spinelessness. The only risk of all this getting out of hand is if the Indians go to war, things can really get ugly for them if they do though. China so convincingly outguns India, unless multiple powers step in to act on India's side, they will be ruined. If Pakistan and China coordinate the war, New Delhi may cease to be an Indian city unless the US steps in.
India is further deluding itself by telling itself that it can flirt with Taiwan, Japan, and Vietnam. Wake up, those three nations are at most politically sided with India but in literally every other way, they are in China's orbit and will prefer the opportunities that come with China rather than the dead end of choosing India. Even military cooperation like India giving Vietnam secrets to 10KT fission technology
(India's pathetic best) will be met with heavy responses. I doubt even Vietnam will take up such an offer if ever becomes reality. These clowns don't have a clue how diplomacy and relations work. It's hilarious reading how hopelessly uninformed and deluded the average Indian guy is. This is already ignoring the trolls which make up the majority.
