Which leak was closest to the 4 deaths figure?
4 deaths still 4 too much , next time make sure everyone is armored up with helmets before doing hand to hand combat.
@Kakyan @HaldilalSDF let ur nibbiars know it's 4 dead. I know you probably don't believe it though.
GT said single digits...Yes, 4 deaths are still too much.
From what I read, they were ambushed during the negotiation with the Indians. I am wondering how could PLA tolerate such a despicable movement. They should pay the price!!Instead of counting beans like the Indians we should instead look at the conduct of the troops.
1) Chinese troops when surrounded by a greater force: fight to the death if necessary. Fight to the death to save fellow comrades.
2) Indian troops when surrounded by a superior force: run and hide even if it means jumping into icy cold river. Screw it if it means my fellow soldiers are in trouble.
I trust the official Chinese version of the story not just because of personal bias, but because the details match with the scant photographic and video evidence that we have. Indians particularly like to post a video of one Chinese soldier, a head shorter than the Indians he was facing, being tag teamed by multiple Indians. However, they fail to see that the guy never stopped fighting when the odds were clearly against him.
When numbers are more clearly matched we see the Jawans taking a drink in the icy Galwan River.

I believe the Indian soldiers went to the China side and set the tents on fire. That made the PLA soldiers angry and beat up the Indian soldiers. Reuters show satellite pictures of burn debris in the location of the clash. From what I read, they were ambushed during the negotiation with the Indians. No wonder that song was full of phrases like "sacrifice" and the background shows Pangong Tso.Reposting the song from New Year Gala.
Lyrics and slow tempo/soft tone of the music make so much more sense now. It is their final send off.
