This is why media matters, it sets the expectations of a nation. Expectations can embolden or subdue the population on the lower end of the bell curve. There will always be a portion of the population that aren't rational but the difference is how much influence they have on the mainstream society. Take America for example, the extremist right wingers always existed in America however Trumps rhetoric boosted a sense of righteousness for them helping to create critical mass. It is not just particular to right wing rhetoric.

When the media appeals to sensationalism and sells short term dopamine rather than long term benefit this is what happens (maybe this is part of a larger strategy?). That portion of society feels emboldened in their ignorance which crowds out the sensible ones where many don't want to engage in discourse with these people when there isn't a common set of decorum.

Then there is the bulk of society who just goes with the strongest narrative because as expected they are preoccupied with their own lives and cannot devote much energy in analysing all narratives they are bombarded with.

Traditional media in China is quite boring and produces more "positive statements" rather than "normative statements", just look at their news reports, especially economic ones. This sets the expectations for the broader society. There are definitely those who consume sensationalist media but they get called 脑残(braindead) by their own compatriots. I think Deng Xiaoping's policy of pragmatism set a certain standard for China's society.

This is intentional and strategic!

Part of their game is to obfuscate the truths so much and pollute the facts with nonsense so that it becomes utterly impossible to have constructive dialogue. This doesn't only apply to Ladakh issues but the macro chessboard. These nations are "democratic" and their voter power counts for something. Manipulating the sentiments and internal thinking of their sheeple is god to them. China runs its own version of this with a slightly different execution of internal management but the CCP's ways pale in effectiveness compared to the rest.

I believe the last time India uses their own T90 tanks, both broke down. And that was in 2017. In 2018 onward, India uses Russia supplied tanks. So even if India was to fare well (which they didn't) it has nothing to do with their maintenance and logistic prowess. Sorry to say that.
Completely wrong. India used T-71B3 as Russian itself said T-90 is not suitable for such competions and which is why Russia itself has Never Ever fielded a single of their own T-90 at the biathlon.

Everything India does is complete BS. I said both your tanks broke down and both your tanks broke down.

Really, what color medal is 5th jointly? LOL India placed 5th at the second tank biathlon in 2015. Then, in the 4th tank biathlon in 2017, both your tanks broke down and you were unable to finish. That was the last biathlon that India participated in. Next time, maybe spend 5 minutes Googling before calling BS.

I just wanted to clarify if this is a legit government of India website? If so then India shipped their own T90s or are you telling me the info from the government of India itself is wrong and this is some form of media-ception.

The Tank Biathlon competition is an international event conducted as part of the International Army Games held every year since 2013 at Alabino Ranges, Russia. International Army Games involve 28 events organised in five Countries i.e. Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and China. The Indian Army team has been participating in the competition for the past three years since 2014. The team stood 6th in the previous year out of the 17 countries which participated in the event in July 2016. This year, for the first time, the team would be participating with own T-90 tanks which have been shipped to Russia.

Swift RetortbOp by PAF was huge confience booster for IAF. Even though IAF was outnumbered 6:1 temporarily, PAF only managed to shoot one antique disposable tin can (mig 21) plus not a single scratch on Su-30s & Mirage 2Ks and PAF ran away after 20 Indian 4th gen fighter jets reached as reinforcements
