That is the Chinese claim line.
Buffer zone is from Chinese claim line till Indian claim line (around 400m further inside from bend) plus some extra area for cushion on both sides so a total length of 2.8.

Any this line showed India penetrated deep inside Chinese claim line. In Feb China finally admitted India built tents at the bend.

Anyways now in Galwan there is no Chinese presence on Indian side of claim line and no Indian presence on Chinese side of claim line.

When is Modi going to name China? I've been waiting for one year, literally.

Oh snap, Kaka is back. Any progress on that Indian 'blitzkrieg' yet? I'm still waiting.

By the way, you should be more concerned about the long-term infrastructure that the PLAAF/PLA is building on your doorstep, instead of some random ceremony at whatever XY junction. Even your American "allies" think that it's already too late for you:

As for your google maps screenshots, they're very cute, but here's some actual SATINT that may concern you:

When did the U.S. become India's ally? Is it an alliance in the same manner as the famed Indo-Israelis alliance?

This is their mindset.

Oh this is the Indian tradition of interpreting failure as success at the max level I've seen so far. This is translated as, "Yeah, we're actually white so if you could just go ahead and credit us with everything white people did including domination of the world over the last couple centuries, that'd be great."

Actual white people are like:

I believe there is a saying in China for this: 你也配姓赵.

Do South Koreans and Japanese come under that "dum...ug.. loids" classification?

Superior peoples buying Howitzers and Submarines from South Korea ,Bullet train from Japan ( when will it run? 2040?). Very ironic.

From what I gathered from their comments online, it seems that they also tend to look down on Russians. Which I think it is important to mention that they are currently one of the largest, and in fact probably the largest, customer of Russian arms (including tanks, fighters, etc.), and have been so since at least the 1970s. So this sort of thing isn't exactly unprecedented.

I think the disrespect is mutual. Go through the top war comments section to see what the Russians think of their clients.

I don't think their approach to Russians is based on any racial factors. Russians are "white" people.
As you mentioned, beyond the racial factor, India has determined Russians to be lagging and not on the cutting edge like Americans and Western Europeans.

The irony here is that Indian space vehicles are using engines designed in Ukraine ( USSR heritage) and India trains its astronauts in Russian facilities for its future activities in space ( gotta give a semblance of keeping up with China). India also takes all help it can from Russian engineers for building its nuclear submarines. They buy aircrafts, SAM, SSN( lease) , Reactor technologies etc from Russia.

They bad mouth Russians yet depend on them for almost every important strategic military development.

Indeed. Because Indians rate Russian military equipments as subpar and try to offload all issues on the technology rather than themselves. You can see it in action when Indian fighter jets crash.

The Russians rightly point out that poor MRO backing up these aircrafts could be the true culprit. I wish India the best when they try to do MRO for their new European and American weapons. Got to hurt the bank a bit.

They started blaming Russian gear in earnest after the 2019 Balakot fiasco. The next time one of their precious Rafales gets shot down then they could move on to blaming the French and would start purchasing the F-35.

They have demonstrated a shady nature. But I have long standing doubts about their collaboration with the French. I don't think they will drop France come any issue.

Regarding the acquisition of Rafale, India have earlier acquired French Mirage 2000. That was back in 1985. The Indian Tejas fighter started taking shape after 1985 with assistance from Dassault ( unclear to what degree but its tailless Delta wing just like Mirage 2000).

With the acquisition of Dassault Rafale, it's deja vu all over again. Soon after the deal we see India releasing new designs for its Naval fighter jet with weird acronym. It is just like Dassault Rafale - Close coupled Canard and Delta wing.

This relationship will continue. F35 can't shake it.
