It's interesting to learn that the author of this F.P. piece used to work for Global Times as the English editor and now he's the editor of Foreign Policy magazine. My curiosity was peaked to look into his past and current writing to understand how his views on China has evolved from one extreme to another not to mention what his views on some of the most contentious issues being raised and used against China namely Taiwan, Tiber, Hong Kong, along with the allegations of genocide in Xinjiang.

In an exclusive interview to ThePrint, Bambawale said the very reason the Chinese initiated the border standoff in April-May last year was because they wanted “to move their ground positions to what their claims were in Eastern Ladakh”, adding that Beijing has been able to achieve that objective to a certain extent but the Indian armed forces were able to thwart their plans.

Year 1, Still waiting for images of the 100s of Chinese who were killed by brave Indian soldiers.
"Patriotic" Indians have claimed that India is obstructed from releasing these images because of an agreement with Chinese.

Worthy of Gold medal in mental gymnastics.
