It's interesting to learn that the author of this F.P. piece used to work for Global Times as the English editor and now he's the editor of Foreign Policy magazine. My curiosity was peaked to look into his past and current writing to understand how his views on China has evolved from one extreme to another not to mention what his views on some of the most contentious issues being raised and used against China namely Taiwan, Tiber, Hong Kong, along with the allegations of genocide in Xinjiang.Very true.
