Re: Z-9ZH first ever (?) public display

Awesome MwRYum -- thanks for getting all these photos and taking the time to upload them. An SDF exclusive! ^^

But you might wanna post other photos in the first thread you opened for the HK garrison open day -- I have a feeling popeye will condense all these photos into one thread anyway.

Thanks again :D

Re: Z-9ZH first ever (?) public display

The tail no. reads "Z9-0539", does that mean it's the 539th unit rolled out from HAC?

You must have good eyes, as I found it difficult to read the tail number. Perhaps you were also able to read that on Z-8KH 6302?

Anyway, the number of Z-9 might be close to 600, and I rather think that is the number built in Harbin. A less likely explanation is that they are numbered by lots, as with combat aircraft. In that case, 6202 would be lot 05 airframe 93.

Z-9H must be a new series/version, in addition to the some eleven Z-9 with 6x0x serials already in Hong Kong?

Actually I could, it reads "Z8KH-02" at the tail. And it's not just on the pic, on site they're hard to read by all regards, simply because the numbers in black are on dark green background, that's the same for Z-9ZH as well.

MwRYum great job! Thanks these photos are great (and remind me I need to get a new Camera! :D ) Got any more photos on the way? I'd like to see some more pictures of Chinese small arms.

If you want to see the regular exhibits, or a few pics of female MPs, I have more, of course.

Or if you're interested in knowing how they flow their blankets, I've a vid uploading onto Youtube as we speak; and I've the advanced obstacles course demo vids I took on Sunday too, though they weren't filmed quite well if you ask me. But if you lads are interested I can put them on Youtube too...

There's another thing I can show, not so "regular" as it seems...

While this is no doubt the current model (judge by the vent above the forward handguard), observe the selector switch at the back, which is different from what I observed in 2009.
