Join PLA anyone?

Those hong kong ones look really professonal.

If I were going to join a military unit it would be the French Foreign Leigon, or maybe the US Rangers (both of which are really hard.) I don't think I ever would join the military though. I actually plan to go into the CIA, or failing that, the State Department.

Have any of our military veterans actually been in combat? I would like to ask them a bit about it. Especially if they are a pilot.

I'm not saying anything about their quality, but compared to American cops, Chinese cops look a bit...nerdy. A lot of American cops look ready to beat you like Rodney King. The scariest police though are the ones on Indian Reservations. They can get you on Indian tribal law, state law county law, probably even federal law, and rights are a bit "iffy" on Inndian Reservations. Plus, some of them don't like white people. Bottom line is don't speed, do drugs or get drunk on an Indian Reservation!

IMO it fair to compare the SDU to a company size special force military force in the CT and domestic emergency respond, especially in Urban operation and CQB.
As most SDU has a doctrine which cover a much wider role the standardize Swat style unit and is mostly head into the military role.
For example CT, the compability to launch an assault from land sea and air, and under certain situation the extermination of certain target which is a threat to national security (this is actually in there doctrine which is strange for a police unit, unless it has to handle the national security role which is normally handle by military unit).
