lucky you that you have that choice....
but in my own personal obinion (which doesn't affect att all to my moderation work ), I dont thing so highly about kids who rant so much about 'how my country can nuke yours, and PRC would take out taiwan military in mere of houers' ...and then they doesent even bother to join the military
....I mean military is about killing people in most cost effective ways, and any sort of enthustiasm towards it is moraly questionable...so does these kids who just want to brattle about military, never taking or even considering taking real part of it, feel any sort of 'pinch' in their heart?

Hell, I wish my country had mandatory military service, then I don't have to decide whether to join the military or go to university. In truth I wanted to do some military service, perhaps slightly more so than the latter, but not everyone has the option of going to university, and it'd be a waste to throw it away so it's really hard to decide. In the end I went to university but to be honest I wanted the "excuse" to join the military for maybe a few yearsGollevainen said:lucky you that you have that choice....

just wait until I recount all the crazy adventures drunken Canadians had in WWII...
an example: you have a platoon of French Canadian, American, and British commando's preparing to attack a german camp. The mission is to snipe the enemy commanders and blow up the vehicals.
They settle down for the night and will do the mission the next night, the French Canadians (from Montreal btw) are restless and can't sleep so they say "screw it" dress in black dont wake up their comrades and sneak into the enemy encampment. Suffocate the officers with pillows, steal German guns since the canadian/british ones are crap plant the C4 set a timer steal the booze and sneak back to their camp.
The C4 goes off the vehicals are destoryed and the enemy soldiers with no orders are running around crazy and some oards the allied camp.
The French Canadians are in a trench firing at the Germans with the Kar98's piss drunk and laughing.
The Americans ask them whats going on, cant understand the french and get a Brit to translate. The French Canadians speak very matter of factly, we were bored so we snuck into the enemy camp, killed the officers, stole the guns and the booze planted the c4 and came back.
The British officer couldn't stop laughing for 3 minutes and then told the American commander. The American pissed sent them home to Canada where they were given the Victoria's cross or something and were greeted as hero's.

:china: (pretend its a Canadian flag) :nana:Have fun, I did my share of it and I dun think I am going to go bak to it. I lost 14kg since i quit the Aussie army and moved back to Hong Kong. I use to be 87kg.. now only 72-73kg and I am only 175 cm.
Now u know what kinda hell they put u thought. Anyway, I guess i was just like half of these kids b4 I join up (joined the reserve at a really young age 16), but the army knocked some major sense into me. I am really proud that I did my service and it really trun me into a different person.
