I think one thing we are overlooking in the fighter deal with Argentina is the political/economic aspect. It is probably not a stretch to say that the JF-17 deal is tethered with Chinese investment in the region as well as deals for agricultural produces/mineral extraction. I’m not sure MIG, or by extension Russia, can match what China can offer in the long term.

There's also the slap in the face to the UK to consider. Could be seen in western quarters as a start of a new cold war

I'd say good riddance. About time the UK got punished for all of it's moves toward Huawei, AUKUS, Xinjiang

If they think this is a slap in the face I wonder what they’d think of the rumored J-10 giveaway to NK.
If it were me I would negotiate some level of access to NK mineral and natural resources (of which NK has a lot of untapped, and right next to China) for the largesse.

North Korea has plenty coal and iron ore screaming to be picked (trillions of dollars worth), and it's a short hop to China's coal consuming and steel production capitals in the North.

If NK opens them up it would be deflationary pressure on global consumer prices.

*sorry off topic

This type of move is long overdue. AUKUS should be the perfect trigger.

NK sanctions should be lifted by China and Russia.

brilliant news is it too good to be true ?

certainly not

every year in the last week of December its almost become a tradition certainly in the last few years something is about to happen at PAC

I hope we see 8 x JF17 Block III in grey and yellow primers handed over to the PAF at PAC

now that would be a great way to finish 2021

Why does this crest have PL-10?
I know its easy to read too much into it, but PL-10 is kind of unique looking

Edit: Saw that there was a prototype photo taken in April with PL-10, but I guess this confirms it

Centerline recessed(conformal) hardpoint. Curious. Excellent decision for a light fighter, IMHO.
