Seems as if these reports were wrong and allegedly 6 JF-17M were already delivered to Myanmar operating off Pathein Airbase.

You have raised a pertinent question here. It would require further investigation.

I would say that perhaps CAC may provide interim training support, until such time as the matter has been resolved. Unless of course Government of Pakistan has barred any further sales, support services. Which excludes any previous agreements. Could that be the case, I wonder?!

Pakistan maybe building fighters but leave the politics out

Anyway this should not be celebrated as a achievement

Now Myanmar can bomb children from ground and the air thanks to JF17, shame on JF17 programme

This sale was to be expected given the historic links between the Burmese military and the Chinese. The situation in Burma sucks but that's politics for you.

Hi,

Pakistan's military remembers the protection it received for its troops taking refuge in Burma after the 1971 war---.

That acts supercedes any ill-will or actions by Myanmar.

Khan''s government has gone to task on destroying corruption that has plagued Pakistan for so many decades.

It is only now, with Khan's government in power, had Pakistan's foreign policy taken a strong and independent direction. And even though China supports Myanmar, and the fact that JF-17 Thunder is a joint venture project of Pakistan and China. Khan's government has shown independence in foreign policy.

Allies and enemies alike, would only respect you, when you as a nation and leadership of a nation, stand firm on your principals of being just, honest and one who fights for the weak and oppressed. Both for your own people and for Muslims around the world.

Please leave your interpretation of politics out of this thread. I hope you have learned something from your stated stance in this post and its disconnect from actual reality on ground (or Burmese air, in this case).

As MK has noted, Pakistan is in Burmese debt since 1971 and for this reason I never thought that non-delivery of JF-17s was an option.

Pakistan could use its influence in other ways for Rohingya cause. Pakistan already hosts thousands of Rohingya refugees and has done so for last 3-4 decades at least. Pakistan's capacity to influence Burmese military just increased a bit due to JF-17 delivery, and it might come in handy later. Since at this stage there is no way to reverse the Rohingya crisis, we can not do much at this time.

I do not have an interpretation of "Politics," I have however shared my views on the matter as they stand, factually. Myanmar helping Pakistan military in wake of us losing East Pakistan, is commendable and respectfully recognized.

Linking what help was given in 1971, to the massacre of Rohingya Muslims, does not justify the wrong being done. Just because Myanmar helped us back 1971, does not give Myanmar a free pass to carry out systematic killing of a particular race of people.

By this logic, the Turks ought to honor the Nazis, since Germany was an ally of the Ottoman Empire during WW1 and helped them against Brits.

What is wrong is wrong, people shouldn't try to over simplify matters without giving actual thought to the subject.
