That is just great.

Apart from a different (and better!) color-scheme, what else could be different?

It was reported in June 2015 that JF-17 secured its first export contract from an Asian customer which is believed to be Myanmar. The $560m contract could involve an initial batch of 16 aircraft and the delivery could start in 2017. A recent image (July 2016) suggested that the

Built in Chengdu of course. It is after all Chinese owned IPR and each country has independent marketing right. Pakistan has access to the technology
It is beautiful plane gracious line cheap and getting better as it mature with wide range of weapon and sensor stations. short legged but not every country need long range MF fighter

The insignia on the vertical stabilizer seems to confirm that it is a FC-1 / JF-17 manufactured by Chengdu for the Burmese army.

...

17-02
Built this year unit 2 so where is unit 1
Let's see them

Maybe there's another explanation: We saw Ruby-01 and Ruby-03 at Kamra in September 2016 then still under construction. IMO it is not unlikely that this - numbered 17-02 - is in fact a CAC-build example (so maybe Ruby-02 ?) in the same way the first IFR-probe equipped aircraft no. 229 was also build and tested at Chengdu.

This does not exclude all other will be build at PAC but explains why this particular bird popped up from no-where out of the blue without being spotted at Kamra before.

Just my 2 Cents.

In my 23 years of tracking this project, I have seen, read, heard many skeptics & naysayers. I am just so glad that this little bird, planned and executed out of frustration with F-16 embargo has come along as such a tidy little success. Seeing it in another country's colors is such a welcome sight.

Does anyone know if JF-17M has any extra or different features from the standard JF-17 Block II.
