Come on guys. It isn't that bad. Fat, yes. Ugly, No...

The wings seem to be longer and end at a shorter span - almost delta. The spine makes it look ungainly, but then it is not only going to be LIFT, but also configured for special missions with WSO. So, it is going to be a workhorse for sure.

Thank you CAC, & thanks to PAF for sticking with this program so faithfully. It is certainly coming of age and becoming 'mature'.

I understand her looks isn't the sell point, but she looks chubby and homely to me. Appearance wise, and only for aesthetic reasons, something closer to the L-15 would be much prettier.

The canopy of the JF-17B prototype opens sideways. I don't know if the production plane will have this feature as well.

It looks fine. Good call on the resemblance to Mirage 2000D.

Wing looks completely the same to me. It doesn't make much sense to change the wing, as it'd add A LOT to testing. Most of the twin seaters around the world don't have significant wing differences. And twin seaters are usually a bit heavier, so improved MTOW rumor doesn't sound right either. Perhaps when a more powerful engine (WS13?) comes, then maybe...

Honestly this aircraft was never designed to be a twin seater

It was not even a medium weight fighter

But operations have required it and it has become a victim of its own success

China has done the best it could and actually it looks great in the video

Pictures also look fine , we can't compare it to a J10B it's a JF17B and a nice looking one at that

From this distance it doesn't look too bad and it has composite skin, don't know if the batch 2 single seater has, haven't see one unpainted but the batch 1 certainly doesn't. Pictures of batch 1 unpainted had zinc chromate paint on every panel
