also a friend of mine (JF-17 pilot) mentioned that they are participating in Zarb-e-Azb as well.
Do we know whether block II supports targetting pods/Laser guided bombs?

About Bahrain Air show did PAF or PAC ever confirm they are going to attend?
And Bahiran ? Give me a break the biggest draw in that region is the massive Dubai air show Bahrain is not even a comparison why PAF would want to market two places and take the small pick
block 2 does support targeting pod but its currently under trials.Do we know whether block II supports targetting pods/Laser guided bombs?
1- There was that parking layout that was released which showed JF17s and LCAs parked side-by-side.
Soon after its release, it was announced the PAF would not be participating.
2- Or was it all a giant PR stunt? Where the PAF was never going to participate, so the organisers released information in that order to generate controversy and free advertisement for their show?
Beidou coverage does extend into Pakistan. We have seen varius Chinese targetting and other kinds of pods displayed next to the JF-17 Thunder in airshows, most recently in Paris. So unless the PAC and CAC are engaged in false advertisement then the JF-17 Thunder can be integrated with those pods. I don't know if the PAF has any of those pods in her inventory. They are always displayed with pods, but I cannot remember any photos of them in the air with it.
I think Blk II priority was on adding AShM capability.
LGB might have to wait until after Blk III, when they add that dedicated pod-carrying hard point.
Does anyone know if BieDou coverage extends over Pakistan yet? If so, they could potentially easily jump to satellite guided PGMs, although given the nature of counter-insurgency warfare, it may not always be feasible to expect to get GPS co-ordinates to targets, and given that they are conducting operations on their own soil, the PAF will probably want visual confirmation before releasing weapons.

Yes Beidou coverage including the whole Pakistan in 2012 and in fact Pakistan is the only foreign country that have access to Beidou military restricted mode. Also PAkistan is the first country to deploy China's Beidou GPS network
