And I think indian pressure was too much for Sri Lanka but let's hope after others order Sri Lanka changes it's mind

I believe the SL deal is never off the table, but just a pause/delay (contrary to change of mind) for the pressure to subside. After all the pressuring party has nothing to offer, and SL has no other alternatives in the same Perf/Price range except not having an airforce at all. A good example is the stopping and restarting of the infrastructure projects farce that lasted less than a year.

Saying all these is not out of disrespect of SL, but rather to point out the difficult and delicate situation that SL is in and therefor I understand them and respect their decision for not proceeding the deal for the moment.

Why are they reticent about promoting it more publicly? I think it would only serve to help JF-17 sales if they did.
Good point, siegecrossbow, and that's the very reason defense enthusiasts should be skeptical of JF-17 claims. The bottom line is if they got the goods, why don't they show them when it's in their best interests to do so? Answer: because they ain't got it.

Probably because they could have been limited to iron bombs until they get a targeting pod integrated, so it wasn't anything to write home about.

They are probably saving the 'combat proven' sticker until they have footage of PGM strikes to show with it.

I don't know about that, although i agree with you that showing videos of JF-17 bombing terrorists will have a positive effect on its marketing and the countries facing similar problem will be more attracted towards it.
but as @plawolf said that targeting pod is not fully operational yet, so they might release some videos only after it has been integrated.

As I could remember, JF-17 throwing iron bombs at Taliban is as old as a few years ago; however, that seems to be the only mission it has even taken. Like Wolfy has said, it needs to wait until some precision strike taken before they would promote it publicly.

also a friend of mine (JF-17 pilot) mentioned that they are participating in Zarb-e-Azb as well.
