I wonder If it contains Spanish Indra EW or the chinese EW or if Pakistan is allowed to divert Spanish EW components to chinese FC-1 production facilities
I would look forward to an airshow where both JF-17 and Tejas are present and finally see them face off and show their strides in front of the world.
That's too bad but also makes sense since Malaysia can afford better planes than the JF-17.

Better than JF-17?
Thunders are being developed, upgraded and are designed to fight multi-role. Which, in so far as Pakistan is concerned, to go head to head against Su-30mki Flankers as well. To say that JF-17 Thunders are a lowly choice for a country like Malaysia, is an unfair assessment. Since this particular combat aircraft is designed to give a skilled fighter-pilot, every opportunity to defeat his/her opponent in Air Combat.
In so far as Malaysia is concerned, the decision on JF-17s is more politically influenced, than based on technical assessment. With Flankers showing low serviceability in india, I wonder what the Malaysians have to say about their own Su-30s.
Selecting a combat aircraft has more to do with the machine's ability to provide the fighter-pilot with ability to fight air battles and come out victorious from them. Additionally, they ought to be reliable and be available on demand, giving the buyer's air force the ability to generate sorties and challenge the enemy in the air.
I am certain, that JF-17 Thunder, be it Block-ll or future Blocks. In the hands of a seasoned fighter-pilot, can hit the enemy hard and be able to come out on top in an air battle.

It actually is more about funds available. Malaysia is facing some down turn in finance.
People are already very upset with all those price increases and government may lose more votes in next year's election if money are spent on military rather than people's well being. After all, we do not have enemy other than the Sulu gunmen from Mindanao.
