It is up to PAF to release any information about JF-17 usage against militants. I am not sure your post is going to move them to change their tone. We have speculated about the reasons for seeming lack of coverage in this regard. If you wish you can use the search function and enlighten yourself.

Lol. Who is ''WE''. If you can be more specific on that.

You must be high i guess when you said and i quote "I mean if you want to claim Thunders are the greatest things since sliced bread" Who is You in the quoted sentence.

As per my understanding and multitude of posts in this thread, JF17 is a medium technology, multi-role and low cost alternative developed for budget constrained customers. Primarily this aircraft was designed keeping in view Pakistan Air force requirements. So this is the best aircraft for Pakistan in the sense that it fulfills Pakistan's operational requirements as well as meets cost constraints. I hope you understand the concept of COST EFFECTIVENESS.

Regarding actual footage, it is for serious buyers not for spectators. For spectators, airshows are enough.

Ali Qizilbash, if you calm down and apply some reason to how you read my post, then you wouldn't be so hotheaded and go on an ad hominid rant. Rational readings of my post would tell you when I say "we," I mean readers of SDF. The "Thunders are the greatest thing since slice bread" is a common tongue-in-cheek (meaning funny) way of emphasizing a point, and not intended to demean the aircraft.

You say JF-17 is a medium technology..., etc, etc, etc. But, all of the colorful brochures, Powerpoint presentations, and company testimonials stress how "high tech" the aircraft is, and how well it performs multi-role tasks, from dumb bombs and rockets, through PGMs, glide bombs, anti-radiation and even anti-ship munitions in strike roles, and excellent air-to-air capabilities, with a whole host of short and BVR missiles. To top things off, the Thunder is also very cost effective. Oh, yeah, and it could cure cancer, end global warming, and empower world peace too. WAIT! Don't blow your top, I was kidding about world peace.

So what are you saying? Actual combat footage are secret and only for eyes of "serious buyers," and not for anyone else? Not even professional journals like Jane's Defense? Are the combat footage that bad, or is it because PAF doesn't have any?

Finally, I'm afraid you have not cleared up any of my misconceptions on the JF-17. Too bad, too bad.

BlackStone i said what i needed to say. First read you post then mine. You should calm yourself down.

Regarding misconceptions on JF17, i tried my best to put it in simple words. Seems the effort has failed. You believe what you want to believe.

Commonsense is not so common after all ;)

Blackstone, are you a serious buyer? If yes there are plenty, just contact Pakistan Air Force. If not, then lets be contend with Airshows. What do you say ;)

You worry too much as to what JF17 can and cannot do. Let's chill and Let PAF worry about that.

Answer the question Ali, since you were the one claiming you wish to clear up my misconceptions.

My question: do you or do you not know of actual JF-17 combat footage? It's a yes or no answer.
