Okay then, I will take that as a "yes" in answer to my question. Thanks.

The magazine has written an article that puts forward their hypothetical idea of what the F-3 will become.

it is just a magazine with a DVD about how they plan to build and use F-3, but it is not an official view but an unofficial, but the DVD is nice, they had several magazines lke that in the previous months

Mig, We know. It's a magazine. We get that.
Not Quite sure the book's genre But the concepts it displayed are of interest mostly because they are well with in the realm of Reality. The F3A is a direct translation of the Mitsubishi ATD-X Shinshin into a production Air superiority fighter with thrust vectoring. the F3E is based on American concepts that were developed for the F22. The Carrier is realistic not some impossible

but a concept that is based on Work done by the US and French. the Anti ship missiles are possible. Japan as the Technical know how, the industrial base, and access to the resources. Now will it be done? No. The Kind of commitment needed is frankly not their. It would take a lot of political pressure from the Japanese populous to move the political base to that point. Now It could happen? If tensions keep rising and a major event takes place like a forced confrontation over the islands yes. were talking a real and physical confrontation.
as is at best maybe the 26DDH will become a reality.

Re: Japan's military build-up

This is definitely no surprise. Japan's military build-up is expected in the face of recent "perceived" or otherwise threats they are/and will be facing. As I mentioned before, the Japanese will prepare and fight back ferociously, as it is their samurai/bushido spirit/culture to do so in the face of dangers. Anyway, I agree with Jeff that what Oliver Stone thinks do not matter - the Japanese in their minds will tell him to stuff it as he is of no consequence.

Well, all I can say is "big whoop." What does it matter what Olver Stone thinks?

Under the request, the ministry plans to create a special amphibious unit designed to protect the southern islands and to take them back in case of enemy invasion.

It would spend 1.3 billion yen to buy two amphibious assault vehicles and increase participation in US-led training programs with the US Marines.

The Marines are generally regarded as an offensive force, while Japan’s constitution bars it from taking hostile acts and limits the role of its already well-equipped armed forces to that of defense.

The air defense force would create a new early-warning unit in the southern region with radar-capable planes.

The ministry will conduct a full study on future purchases of Osprey tilt-rotor aircraft that can takeoff vertically like helicopters.

Among big ticket items, the navy wants to buy a 73.3 billion yen destroyer, a 51.3 billion yen submarine, and a 50.8 billion yen submarine rescue ship.
